I just asked Nokia support for changing my batterie for a more powerful one. They don't recomment another then Nokia supported batteries. I think you will destroy your beautiful phone !!
Success, Jeep
Pls advise...
As you all know the battery life of Lumia 820 is average and if on 3G network, IM sorry to say, its below average.
I had done searching for more capacity batteries and came across few.
1. 3800mah mugen battery
2. 2500mah MPJ battery.
Any idea which of the above batteries is safe for the device.
If I change the battery, anything else is there to watch out.
how do i remove the demo version of this nokia lumia 820? my photos automatically gets deleted in 4 hrs and i cant put the password on.
AnonD-163480, 22 Nov 2013Will the new windows phone update 'black' be available for Lumia 820... Said that all Lumias Windows Phone 9 will be updataed to GDR3, maybe some features won't available for low end phones.
Will the new windows phone update 'black' be available for Lumia 820...
Nokia will be another sole user of an OS as they seem to be the only players relasing phone.
So Blackberry and Aplle the other two
The pitch is high spec phones which is let down by the software
everything stops when you lock screen is effected
So the apps are preety useless afre that.
there is NO standalone security which would not work anyway
AnonD-170864, 21 Nov 2013Currently i am using iPhone4 and planning to change my phone. Is this phone wroth of buying. You can choose Windows Phone 8, for the OS is not mature. iOS I think is still better for apps and games.

Paul Oprea, 15 Nov 2013I am sorry to rate this as one of the least intelligent phones I've had (among iPhone, Blackbe... moreYou have a right to your opinion, however you should also set some kind of a criteria after which you criticise the phone after. The ''WP is a least intelligent phone'' claim is based on what? What do you expect a phone to intelligently do for you?
5 years ago windows mobile devices were barely usable, im not sure what you mean that it went bad after that?
The simplicity will appeal to some and not to others, i belive there is a whole lot of people who prefer a simple and clean interface to one where you have hundreds of different options just for setting the look of your homescreen. I will even guess that great many people that use for example android never change the factory preset settings for UI, homescreen, icons etc. So whats even the point then?
If you need your phone to be a deeply customizable computer, you already have android, but if not, WP is as good option as any. It all comes down to apps anyways.
And if you charge your phone 2-3 times a day then you must be doing something with the phone from the moment you wake up til the moment you go to bed, cause thats the only way that happens.
Thats my opinion, and i use android and WP.
I am sorry to rate this as one of the least intelligent phones I've had (among iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Phone).
This OS with these specs would have been amazing two-three years ago. I owned a number of Windows phones over the years. Until 5 years ago, they were still great. But now it feels like Microsoft has sorely lost it.
Nothing seems to keep the pace. Apps are uninspired and uninspiring; OS is clunky and unintuitive. Having to reset my phone to de-associate with one Microsoft account because I needed to map it to another feels like Windows 98.
Nokia Creative Studio feels like a bad joke: all it does is a sepia or other color filter applied over a photo - a gargantuan amount of creativity...
Look and feel simplicity would be appealing if it were not just plainly primitive instead (f.e. all you get to customize for the skin is the tiles color - is that all?).
Battery is meagre at best (need to recharge 2-3 times a day).
I realize the terms of posting are asking for polite opinions.
I've tried to do that honestly. But there are simply not many good things to say about this phone. It is way too far from the state of the art.
