Well I agree that 830 is a great phone and the quality of nokia has always been good, but why is the phone being launched at a higher rate in India than in other countries?
Even in China the phone cost around 2-3k cheaper.
They haven't been able to even provide LTE in India. This not only happened with 830 but with almost all top end lumia phones launched in India. No wonder Android players like Samsung and Sony are able to capture the market better.Take the example of apple,if it is launched at a price in one part of the world,no matter what the market condition is you can buy it for the same price in another country for that same price.
I want to buy the Lumia 830 but seeing it priced more in India then the rest of the globe I don't find it fair.
dev, 02 Oct 2014phone is good but price is not Phone is good but price is not
subhash, 02 Oct 2014According the specification of lumia 830, price is too high. It should be 20,000 to 23000 not ... moreguys I know 830 goes overpriced in india.. atleast according to indian consumers..
microsoft set it on high price because of it 10mp pureview camera... this 10mp cam one of the best n latest innovation of ms/nokia...
this cam easily beats iphone cam n galaxy s5 cam in quality.
if you cant believe then watch whole lumia 830 launch event in IFA, Berlin on youtube. then you guys understand what is innovation.
microsoft only demanding more for what they actually invented.
830 is totaly for camera lovers.. n any camera adict user easily bout this..
otherwise 730/35 is perfect for users who doesn't have that much budget.
830 is camera centric device which is actually overpriced due to its best camera.. n lots of other features which were compromised in 730/35
All guys, listen all Nokia phones were n pipeline when Nokia was abandoned. No new models are expected, Microsoft is making Windows phone as trademark and specs will definitely be upgraded, 64bit ad Windows 10. Launch by nxt year, forget these 1gbs.

Hny , 02 Oct 2014Relax nd go 4 lumia 735!! Hmm sacrifice one sim card slot and gain 4G LTE support. 735 will be more future proof due to LTE. My opinion is that 735 is for those who plan to use this phone for a longer period of time and the 730 is for those who buy new phones every 6-8 months

LAW321, 19 Sep 2014guys buy 830 only and only if camera is you priority otherwise go for 730/735 as you know apar... moreOnly camera the upside you say? There are many features in 830 that are not found in ANY device except for the high end ones. Here's a few:
1. Bigger screen
2. CBD(that matters a lot when using your phone outside in bright sunlight)
3. Wireless charging
4. Looks classy
5. Dolby Audio(will definitely have the best sound quality compared to ANY smartphone priced below and even above it)
6. 5.1ch audio recording
7. Latest software update out-of-the-box(brings n number of camera and other improvements)
These are the features that you'll only find in flagship phones. The only downside i see in this phone compared to the 730 is that selfie camera and the price. Once the price drops, this will be a better VFM option..
Kingmari, 30 Sep 2014It must have 4G LTE.. If you have doubt means check all the other handsets which available in ... moreMy best bet is this phone does have LTE but it is disabled. It will get enabled in a future update(like my 625). Don't know y they do this..

My friend's 2 years old 920 is on Cyan. We're both gonna get Denim for sure(not all the features but the core firmware, which will definitely bring some performance and battery life improvements). Compare that to the competition and you'll see..
sandeep sharma , 01 Oct 2014too huge price for its specs it would be around 22k then it will live long in indiaTrue that..
Hny, 02 Oct 2014Lumia 630 1.2 quad core procesor in lumia 730nd 735 1.2 quad core and then da lumia 830same pr... moreThere's 1 gigs of RAM, 5 inches of display, a PureView camera, a Carl Zeiss lens, Dolby Audio, video recording in 5.1ch surround audio, Glance screen, a metallic finish, latest software update out-of-the-box, looks excellent, etc. But I agree with you the cost is pretty steep. Just wait till it comes down to around 20-22k.
According the specification of lumia 830, price is too high. It should be 20,000 to 23000 not more that that.I was so excited to buy but after hearing the price, I am not more interested. I think Microsoft wants to showoff that microsoft can design a expensive phone like other brands but forgot to improve in specification which every customer seek, Lumia 830 is waist to buy at the cost of 28000, better to wait for few months or buy htc desire 816 or xperia c3.
.rollindadice, 02 Oct 2014wanna make jokes join the circus, don't bash the phoneRelax nd go 4 lumia 735!!
Yes Lumia 830 should be around $300 not more than that with same specs
