I experienced something like it 1 or 2 times. Press the on/off buttun and the volume down button stimultaneously till the phone vibrates after about 10 seconds. If this is any software problem it should be fixed under the warranty.

Hi folks, I need help. I bought this fon on Friday from a shop in ghana and I am not happy at all. The fon got frozen last night at about 11pm and it is still frozen as I send this message. I have tried to put it off but no it won't go off. The screen shows "Resuming..." I will be returning this fon to the shop. Has any one experienced this?

I am using this phone from last one week and faced a few problems.
1- battery drains very quickly if use mobile even for texting.
2- can't stop whatsapp, Skype , they always running in background.
3- some kind of problem with find my phone option. it doesn't work with my Lumia 920.
4- camera is not that much good as my old Nokia 808. which deliver very good images in Low light.
now I am missing my old Nokia 808. Please Guide me what to do with my mobile and how to stop these apps . I can't stop them to run in background.

47, 16 Jun 2013Thank you and Adrian..ur comments very helpful for me.. And Adrian is always correct! simply press the volume up or down button once and click the top right on screen actually the bell sign . it will change the profile from vibrate to ring or from ring to vibrate

If not try if the same problems persists then you can be sure that your lumia is having problem then you can take it to nokia care center... Hope it helps for you... :-)

Am using this phone past 1 month and previously i had a symbian device and being a hardcore user of symbian it difficult for me to adapt the win 8 platform .After one month i have to say i am quite happy to use the device .
The os is smooth as silk and the gorilla glass works great on the bright sunlight .Apps like city lens and offline maps will have an edge on the current smartphones.camera features and low light photos are simply awesome.
The os is different from the green robot and fruit phones which i like most it gives you an different feeling ....

Check that earphones are firmly plugged in and see that there is no loose connection in the node of the earphone where the two wires (left and right earphone) arise from the main wire of the earphone.... and also check with other earphones if the same problem persist then its the problem with your phone. Take it to nokia care center...

[deleted post]I don't own any of the device u mentioned but certainly my dad owns lumia 920 and most of the time lumia 920 will be with me so I think I can help you with your problem...
1) Considering your previous mobiles i strongly recommend you lumia 920 nor 720 or 620 or 820..the reason why i think it is better are:
a) It is beautifully carved... Feels richness in your palm when your holding it.... Gives a solid feel which other mobiles can never be able to give....
b) It's display is simply THE BEST!!! it has got PureMotion HD+ in addition to that Nokia's proprietary ClearBlack technology definitely adds cherry to the top of the cake... You can easily show off its display capabilities to others also the colours looks natural in day light the sunlight legibility is very good....
c)and still there are many many good features which I cant mention it here..
2) I don't know about 720 but lumia 920 hangs very very rarely say once in about 2-3 months and that too if u have lots of apps and games... otherwise it wont...
3) 512mb is not enough so 920 fits...
4)Advantages
a) Its super duper fluid UI
b) Most of the good and trending apps are available*
c) Has good security features comparatively
d) Doesn't lag..
e) Good for businees use..
Disadvantages
a) Comparitively less apps
b) UI is not as much costumizable as android
c) No fm radio support (Hope Amber update gets back the FM support)
Finally i recommend you for lumia 920.... Good luck bro..

[Message:I have been using Lumia 920 for 3 months now & encountered weird concern yesterday. Miraculously the touch screen stopped operating due to which I thought of restarting the phone. However, I got the software update screen which I hadseen the last time when I had received the software update. After hours of the said process, the phone didn't start besides the battery had completely drained. Apparently I checked about this error on this website & I got the suggestion of pressing the volume keys simultaneously with power & camera yet it didn't work & basis on the next suggestion I walked up to the Nokia care @1230 this afternoon. The engineers out there failed to understand the issue & they simply kept on promising me the resolution. After spending 3 hrs at the service center one of the engineers informed me that there's nothing they could do in order to fix the handset & instead it would be sent to Delhi for either repair or replacement & I have to wait for next 15 days for the resolution. My concern over here is .... a customer spends 36k basis on the salesman who gives u the demo of the said handset as one of the durable handsets especially when I had been to buy HTC 8X since I had been using HTC for quiet sometime. In the last 12yrs I had never visited any of the service centers of neither Nokia nor HTC. Till date I have used Nokia 3310, 6630, E72, N900 & HTC Diamond, Dream/G1 & HD7. When I asked the engineers at the service station if they could provide me a replacement phone till they could get the phone fixed, initially my request was declined & then they agreed upon giving me a stupid handset which is 2610 inspite of informing the rep of having no contacts as all are synchronized with my hotmail a/c. Perhaps I had to accept since I had understood the incompetency of your store reps by then. May I ask why the handset couldn't be replaced with another one if the so called engineers ccouldn't fix the problem?. Why do I have to wait for another 15 days for my phone? What's the surity of this problem will not be repeated? What's up with Nokia of boasting so much about their NL920 when customer get to face such disappointment? At the service centre, you guys have put up the banners of assuring the best customer experience but ...... this is what I've got to experience. ]
