Anonymous, 21 Apr 2013Go for AndroidAndroid is laggy scrolling, occasional lag, and crash galore. WP8 is much more stable and smoother than Android.

Got Lumia 920 few days ago (upgrade from N9 (small fonts)). After short 'learning period' l must say phone is very good. Fonts are big enough, processor is fast enough, photos are good enough. Of course there are some minor improvements possible, but that goes for every phone...
Battery drainage was a problem, but then l discovered "disabling applications in the background" and battery last much longer... and of course other restrictions must be aplied... and then you get a day and a little more of use on a single charge (I use phone a lot!)
No restarting of the phone so far. Signal reception without troubles. Speaker loud enough.
A little bit on a heavy and big side, but that have some advantages - bigger easily readable screen for example...
all in all - very good phone for me.

Tell care persons that phone is under warranty and if they do not give free repair... more...@Rahul...you can play the same song with these devices to compare cos some songs have a less output configurations like initial drum and base....etc but the difference is user dependent/specific.
If you haven not gotten the update (1308) may be you may not realize the difference.... but no offense intended.
On battery, much has changed over last 2years
I occasionally use N97, it has stereo sound but headsets output quality is much different....battery life is 5days with moderate use...while lumia 920 gives 3days on average use.
Every phone has its strengths and some phones are like wine...they improve as they age...I have a E72 (Topaz Brown - four years old) which amazes me...it gives me 8days on 51% with daily 1 hour calls on 2G. So comparing these phones is not a quick snap thing cos it depends on a functonality, screen size, OS stability and power sparing capabilities.
ahahha...I have known Good Nokia devices....and I will always buy their devices to enjoy different functionalities.

@ akshay... Tell care persons that phone is under warranty and if they do not give free repair or replacement file a consumer forum complaint... Bcoz of huge line up of care centres nokia has brought cheap people into the business.. And most of the times nokia does not know about such thing...
@ genius... Brother u are wrong about music section there is wide scope of improvement open.. I give it 7/10, it does not compete with my n91 (no phone can) but cant with c7 and 808 also.... And man...are you a poet..lol

The best part about this phone is the battery life. I remember my Xperia S was almost always empty by 4pm, whereas I sometimes go to bed at night and my Lumia has more that 60% battery power left. I never turn the cellular data off and only have Wifi at home, yet the battery just lasts for ever.

Remember to use wireless for updating your device when you realize that your phone has updates. You could also reset phone and make complete and genuine configurations to restore to factory settings but this will require you to back up apps and your stuff on your phone to the computer.
¬- settings>system>phone updates>get updates (requires Internet connection)
settings>system>about>reset...restores factory settings
NB:
1308 Updates may only be downloaded with the following
¬settings¬>Wifi¬>ON...
(Which means you should have a wifi hot-spot to connect)

I have to say that, for you to maximize on the power of the Qualcomm snapdragon, you will need to train your phone by using a variety of application and not over-using only one function. The biggest challenge however is that the screen is so beautiful and the internet is so fast that you can't put the phone down...but make sure you fully charge your battery and wait until it is critically low before charging again.
Remember to switch off the phone sometimes, may be when you go to sleep or have it on flight-mode so that it can rest. continued use of any device will definitely consume more power.
I believe when you get 1308 update it (L920) will be much stable and you will love it even more and more.
Remember to exit applications that run in the background, bluetooth, if you do not need them and reduce brightness to low.
Do not be worried, the best will still get more than best.
