Hi , I intend to buy Lumia 920 however I have checked a lots of complain about the freezing and reboot of the phone. Has this issue been addressed / resolves after the PR 1.1 software update?? Appreciate your advice

I had given my Old Nokia C7 for cleaning dust below screen and when they gave the phone back, the camera was not working. They never accepted their mistake and demanded approx. Rs.3000 for repairing the camera.(I haven't repaired and the C7 now works without a camera)
Btw, I got a White Lumia 920,on Jan 13th (The Mobile store-Borivali guys cut out a micro sim from my mini sim and it now works just fine !!) which is a really good phone. May be you should let the higher Nokia Officials ((CEO himself, if you know how to contact) know your problem.

I have my Lumia since 15th Feb. I am trying to adapt with the OS and apps. Some issues which I find disappointing is 1) You cant change the font color 2) Difficulty in accessing contacts while someone is on the line asking for a number 3) Cannot merge duplicate messages or contacts after transferring from your old Phone 4) Not visible in sunlight, you always need a shadow to view the screen 5) If you are in sales and attends a lot of calls, sms and log in to your emails, the battery charge will drop to 40% in less than 6 Hrs 7) No swipe application for the keyboard screen 8) The speaker gives you that imbalanced equalized sound when in max volume (30) while ringing 9) You cant uncheck the touch vibration which is minute, but can save some charge on the battery 10) Still lots more application needs to be launched specially for "profiles". The best phones ever launched in Nokia are the E71 and E72. It really adapts to all your basic requirements. These new smart phones are just good with their brilliant colored looks, when it comes to performance, they always lag in one or the other.

It did not detect my sim card first. Then I tried with my friend's sim, same problem. I gave it back and got replaced with a new one, after they checked for like 10 mins. I am currently using the new. Four days so far, It's a good piece. I think you should ask them to replace it for you.

I am from Luxembourg and my 920 is drop the cals and going out of line many time a day. And forget about support from Nokia.

For heavy gamers,I do not suggest you to buy this phone because of the battery lifetimes but I'm sure the problem isn't much different from other smartphone.But if you're much more into social like facebook,Twitter etc then you would consider buy one.

Nokia Customer care is really poor and shitty. I bought a supposedly NOKIA PREMIUM PHONE LUMIA 920 on 15-Jan-2013 spending, Rs. 38199/- on it from Croma Store located in Oberoi Mall. On 16-Jan-2013 I got a micro sim for same which was activated on the same day. I was very happy and excited to use the phone. Within 2 days i saw cases of calls dropping. I thought that issue was related with mobile network. On 18, 19 and 20 of Jan I had to go out of town and found that the phone was not picking up network while roaming. I approached the Croma guys on 21-jan-2013 and they said that this must be problem with the sim card and try changing it. I got the new sim card on 23-Jan-2013, observed it for 2-3 days and issue still persisted I went back to the croma guys on 28-Jan-2012 and this time they said that i should get in touch with nokia care in malad as they cannot do anything about it.
So on 29-Jan-2013 i approched nokia care and they said they will keep the phone with them for a day for observation and gave me the job sheet number 642504867/130129/22. On 31 Jan 2013 I go back to them and they say they haven't found any issue with the phone. In front of them i make a call and show them how the network drops after the call. They acknowledge that this is a problem and will send the phone to R&D dept for checking. After a day they call me up and say that R&D dept has informed that the phone has to be sent to factory for repairs. I tell them clearly that i wouldn't take a repaired phone and want it replaced with a new handset as this is a manufacturing defect. The nokia care center guy Amol says that he will give this feedback to the factory guys.
On 11-feb-2013 I get a call from the nokia care center that the pone is repaired and may be collected. Frustruated i call the nokia support and talk to Mr. Ramkapoor giving details of the above issue. He informs that he will arrange for a call back from his team. Someone calls me on 13-feb-2013 and i again give him the full details about the phone and since then there hasn't been any call to me informing on the status. Today on 19-Feb-2013 I call up nokia support again n talk to Mr. Suraj and ask him why nobody is giving a status update on this. he says he is sorry and emphathises with me on the issue but nothing can be done as there was no reparable defect with the phone due to which it cannot be replaced.
Now guys its been more than 30 days since I bought the phone of which i have hardly used it for 10 days. The phone came with a manufacturing defect. Instead of replacing it nokia is giving me an opened repaired handset. This is bull shit. I have had friends who have premium phones from other manufacturers facing similar issues and their phones were replaced without them even asking. This happend with friends using Blackberry, Iphone 4s, Sony Xperia. Now that is a premium service. here at nokia god knows what PREMIUM means.
Guys please think before switching to Nokia Lumia. I have not collected my REPAIRED handset from nokia care till now cause i just don't feel like using a opened handset which is not even a month old. It is not like i'm a first time nokia user, I have used 5 nokia phones before this and i was planning to go for lumia for my wife too, but after this one i really don't know if i should spend my good money on NOKIA.
I really want to type in all the choisest cuss words but not doing it.
