I had my Lumia 920 for alomost two weeks now, so i can say this:
It really is a stunning phone, the display is just beautiful. The camera is one of the most advanced from what i have seen. the only thing that is a bit of an downer is the daylight photos - they arent as defined and clear as what you would expect. Though word is that there will be an update soon (fixing freezes and camera performance in daylight and a few extras).
Battery performace is not up to scratch, you can expect about 7 hours for heavy usage. And about 11 hours on standby.
There are also a few things that i would have liked to see in this phone.
* Fm transmitter or Radio for that matter
* Notification LED light
* Expandable storage
These are all stuff items that i had on my Nokia N8 and that i really miss.
Software - Let's just get the big ellephant out of the room - Apps. True there isnt enough, True that i got the ones for me that i want and do not want or need anything more. So i am happy with that one.
one thing that i have not bee able to do is to download media (Videos and Music) to my phone via Intermnet Explorer... I cannot view Youtube videos (Due to no flash support)
Apart from those, i am really happy with this device.

I used Desire Z, and it was definetly a problem to have that bulky heavy phone in my pants pocket all day, and 920 is even more bulky and heavy!

i used to use 5110 when i was a kid,
so an extra 10 grams won't be a problem :D

The phone lacks in GPU. Only for lumia 920T they have given more GPU. But for other mobiles it is the same ADRENO 225.

[deleted post]Software optimization is more important than just adding cores. WP7 is optimized for Snapdragon S2 chip. WP8 is optimized for Snapdragon S4. iOS is optimized for PowerVR SGX graphics chips. Android isn't optimized well because it has way too many fragmented hardwares with many different types of SoC and graphics chips. Those cores are wasted on Android.

laila, 01 Dec 2012anyone who went from galaxy note or s3 to lumia 920 who can tell if it's worth it?I am also looking forward to comparison between 920 & s-note. Frankly speaking, note isn't bad but its battery is really really bad. I am a heavy user. Almost 6hours calling and 2hours gprs. I need to charge it twice daily.

I had iPhone 4 and just bought Lumia 920. I personally love my Lumia 920. Phone feels to be more "alive" than android and apple. True, There isn't all the apps, but for me There is enough. I love This phone because It's different from Apple and Samsung. Lumia is perfectly built. It's Plastic but doesn't have android kind of cheap Plastic Feeling. I understand that WP8 isn't for everyone but You should try it if buying a new phone.

[deleted post]actually android and WP is a very different device, maybe this phone got only dual core processor but maybe it will run smoother than android device that run quad core processor.
don't compare 2 different OS with your logic (just like apple still using A6X chip which is same level with dual core processor).
no offense, i personally own an android too, but i think this phone is great and interesting

But if you're going from a high end a... morewhen compared to the iphone apps, android apps are nothing....so even an iphone user will not be happy with this phone..as a phone this one is very good, but there aren't enough apps.....i have seen many iphone,ipad,ipod touch users who didn't get the android devices because the quality of the apps/games isn't good....so they will not even think of this one
android users will not like it because there isn't enough customization
this phone is designed for the symbian/bb users
