This phone is innovative but its too big for a 4.5 inch screen, like my HTC one x has a bigger screen but its smaller in dimensions and lighter, so Nokia are only targeting a minority who would accept a large brick in their jeans, it isn't slick enough to win over the general population, it looks like a toy, for Nokia to be big again they need to introduce a Nokia lumia arte, something from the 8800 in a touch screen form, all apple users will then switch to Nokia, apple users are looking for something new and a lumia 920 isn't it, good luck Nokia but u need to change your game, also an introduction of 12month contracts at affordable prices will boost Nokia into a bigger demand of manufacturing phones like in the past where Nokia were constantly updating there portfolio, now u buy a phone every 2years
Anonymous, 07 Nov 2012So when will GSMArena be getting a proper review done for this phone? Other sites are making ... moreits not poor in good light conditions, its just more natural. people r used to more colour saturated photos.
so being more natural is not flaw, still u(for a phone manufacturer) have to respond to what the people wants so nokia responded and the lumia 920 will deliver more saturated photos after a soon update(nokia's official words)
Ordered the NOKIA 920 last night. It says it will arrive on friday via Fedex, Got lucky with the free wireless charging plate. I can't wait to use my iphone as a drink coaster.
Varry, 07 Nov 2012This is first real Beast made by Nokia.clearly you're not a nokia fan, nokia has made PLEANTY of beasts for thier times... how else do you think they came to be the leading company at one time? just over the past 5 years they had the n81, n82, n95, n95 8gb, n86, n900, n9, n950... all these phones were ahead of thier competition wen they were released. even the pureview is a beast for the hardware it has vs. the capabilites of its software. No android or iphone could do that much with that little power..
anyone can throw in the most pwerful hardware and say "the phone is super fast"... the question is who can get the same level of performance with the least amount of power...
Just pre-ordered my Nokia lumia, and att is giving away a free black wireless charger with purchase, so I'll be officially using my phone Nov. 9. So excited!!
So today i went to a store to see and feel this phone on my hands i have just one thing to say: Amazing. For those who are always talking about the phones weight and even reviewers i must say you're totally out of your mind! Ok let us be honest not as light as an iphone but heavy? i was surprised is really good to have on hands and you can feel the phone! If anyone here as a decent brain go see for yourselves and tell me if i am wrong!
Anonymous, 07 Nov 2012no proper release date..but maby 30 Nov! Mee to getting 1 920!The Lumina 920 is available today from art... In stores on 11/9/2012....
[deleted post]NO dude you are wrong people are rushing towards 920 not because of its os but because of its features it offers ya os can be a minor reason but not MAJOR....
Varry, 07 Nov 2012This is first real Beast made by Nokia.Nokia 808 is the real-beast from Nokia, not 920...
Btw: where is the HDMI-connection on 920, is it on top or bottom of the phone ?
utouh, 07 Nov 2012weak and slow, please nokia get this microsoft out in your head, please make a beast a symbian... morethey can polish symbian ui to the best....but its core wud remain d same as when it was in 2005 times..it cant be properly modernised...as nokia claimed when abandoning the os.they say the platform cant attract devs now.possibly only wp8 was d only solution to the dev problem according to their then position(and yet the same, lumias gonna lead them out of dark!).if they do as they expect, then probably they wud go for alternatives too-like total overhaul of symbian whatever it needs, even though they have announcd to abandon it in 2015.or the meego-why not take it into their boat afterall its just old nokia employees looking after it!!as a nokia fan,i hope so for meego, since its their own conception!
Mynextphone, 07 Nov 2012I'm seriously considering the Nokia 920 for my next phone but concerned about the lack of an S... moreHey.. yes it is possible..this phone comes with storage mode where by if you plugged it into a pc...u can keep your files on a flash-like memory so any pc that reads storage memory with USB...will work just right!
For starters i must commend the battery life of this beast! I surfed the web, played around in the store...played some music and videos as well as some games and this beast was not moved.! I fiddled with the phone for more than 5hrs..and when i stopped the battery took me another day! Now which smart phone (name 1 besides this) that has such breath-taking battery life?? Nokia Lumia! here to stay MOST DEFINITELY!
Now that we know the date and price, it's better than we even expected. Will be there Friday the 9th to pick mine up.
weak and slow, please nokia get this microsoft out in your head, please make a beast a symbian belle os phone. we miss'd the real nokia..
