WPs can be "rooted" too (not sure whats the term, jailbreak for iPhone, root for Android, etc) to lift many of the restrictions.
EDIT: Lol, you are actually comparing a Lumia 610 (a very low end WP) to a rooted Android? Yeah, sounds like a legit comparison :D

android any day is the best because of freedom open os that can be rooted for better firmware not like lumia 610 which won't have better than limited wp7! so no bluetooth transfare is coming, and also jellybean is smoother with a longer battery life ! it has 60fps ui animations, screen video record and quality games and apps, hen ios and then 3rd grade windows!!!

I had iPhone 3g all the way to the 5 which I will skip. Its boring, its same, its too delicate and has no youtube and no gmaps… I want: to have bigger screen; free GPS navigation; able to take decent lowlight pics; charge without poking a hole in the dark; design similar to iPhone 3 which I loved to hold; scroll with my pencil or a pen; to have Nokia again whom I left for apple on N95 which is a legendary phone… Jobs is gone and it clearly shows… Was a fun ride with apple but now its time to get back to my old horse.’

but a lot of my problem with sound was my own fault. If this helps you. 1. When your talking to someone turn your speaker volume down to 5 . Doing this takes away the echoe. 10 is to high. Unless your deaf. 2. Keep your fingers away from flashlight on back, your noise reduction is a slight pin hole at bottom of flash. 3. Keep your mouth on microphone as you would. This only applies to 800 model. 900 model has no issues now. Make sure you have all updates. No battery issues now after all updates.battery life is pretty good actually. Ninja il leave to you lol.

[deleted post]Ok, sorry, just kiddin... Just imagine how many devs are working and gonna work on wp8 platform. It's MICROSOFT, don't forget it, and it's just in the beginning of a super progress. And I bet 1:1000 you won't find such issues as wifi disconnect, sound bugs, transfers etc in the 920, (i haven't even heard in 900 neither). Or battery life compared to other brands. Last but not least pdf or office compatibility, those gonna be excellent not only in Nokia, but every wp8 phone. And gonna be dozens of complementary 3rd party apps for almost everything. Data usage? Talk time? File management? Come on...

And for your information i have an xperia arc s and i had lumia... big difference from one to another as the lumia didn't had any lags as my xperia has with lagdroid!! And i'll say it again my xperia is a great phone but unfortunately it has lagdroid!

I for one really like how WP integrates more stuff to the OS itself rather than launching a seperate app to do something. On WP also its been made really easy to basically make the app integrate to the OS rather than being kind of a mini-OS inside an OS.
I feel Android is like Symbian. The most PC like OSs and certainly beasts when it comes to capabilities, but neither is really made ground up from user experience aspect. The freedom rarely comes without consequences. Your average user will have zero need to have true multitasking for anything but like music player and navigator. So while WP is more limiting (but doesnt freeze those examples mentioned), it caters more towards the average user.
Anyways Android is a great OS and has earned its place. I see WP is the golden midway between the "too open for average user" of Android and "too closed for a SMARTphone" of iOS. That said, I come from Nokia N8 with Symbian myself, so I gotta admit I will miss the freedom for sure, but I also welcome the far more intuitive OS of WP

Symbian ios android bbos all can play games record videos capture photos reads office surf websites. But live wallpaper isnt available on ios. It needs quite good cpu power. So ios fanboys cant tell their os is more battery friendly because their os doesnt hav live walpaper! Android is a heavy os. Android offers most features. Wp and android can not be compared bcoz android made to do things more like pc when wp is made for smartphone only. Lumia 920 is a good product n b happy wit it(the most inovative smartphn, well to say all inovations and credits goes to nokia, no credit for wp)

You guys need to be ... moreThe compressing has nothing to do with OS capabilities, its to save data usage by compressing the page. Wp is totally capable of uncompressed browsing. WPs browser is actually one of the better mobile browsing experiences out there according to several sources.
Its OK to like Android and I dont like people here bashing on Android without knowing enough about it, but dont fall as low and try to bash on WP if you dont really know what you are talking about

yousif, 04 Oct 2012i'm a fan of nokia since the first mobile ever i bought in 2003 but when using the android dev... morea separate DSLR would cost 4-5 hundred dollars at least and it is a separate device so have to carry it separately... then if i am getting 95% of the DSLR quality in the nokia device which perfectly fits into the pocket what's wrong in it? why the hell should i bother about how many GHz are packed in processor if my OS works well and smooth on the hardware that i have....

Lol coz its dumb. Android phones do the job when u r away from a computer. WP is too fake >.
