Luno, 07 Dec 2013Guys i find amazing that no EVER complanes about it horrible brower and non exist file manger.... moreNo one is complaining about it because every one is complaining about how half baked the OS is. Microsoft is taking really too long to release an update and to think they put up a website where users can suggest for the improvement of the OS but they don't listen to their consumers. Can't wait to switch phones on February 2014. From Galaxy S2 to my last Nokia device, I have to say and I'm really disappointed with it.
Guys i find amazing that no EVER complanes about it horrible brower and non exist file manger. I bought a lumia 820 and just found out that it has no file manager and i cant download any videos and music of my choice on it brower. It a nightmare..... I think the software engineers should Fired for not solving such a simple issue. But i am never buying anything windows again because they just proved how incompetent they are. I am moving to android, at the allow someone to download and manage files in their phones.

Try to think reasonably rather than fight like a bunch of kids.
No one will buy a android flagship or iphone if they dont get any real updates.i mean real big updates.atleast one.its not just for windows phone.
If all windows or atleast flagship phones get 8.1 they its good.
We are not here to bash miscrosoft.i wanted to buy a lumia 920 and the shopkeeper himself told me that lumia 920 has stopped. A flagship which was released nov 2012.
Getting what we are trying to say? Use common sense....

And I'm sure a lot of other people don't feel the same way. Opions, opinions and opinions. Good that people can make their own choice, based on their very own preferences.
I had high hopes for this phone and for the first little while it was alright. Nothing too fancy, but alright. After having it for ONE year I wanna smash this thing into the ground. It freezes constantly so that I can't access the touch screen, sites like Tumblr crash all the time to the point of avoiding the site altogether, when typing it doesn't pick up all the keys when pressing them so you often end up with broken sentences and I could go on forever. This phone is garbage don't waste your time or money with it!

Microsoft upgrade blunder gives people one more reason
not to buy a Windows Phone

As if people needed one more reason not to buy a
Windows Phone, Microsoft has given them another: A
Windows Phone 8 device you buy today may not be able
to be upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1. Then again,
maybe it can. Either way, Microsoft isn't saying. This is
no way to help a struggling smartphone operating
Computerworld's Matt Hamblen tried to find out from
both Nokia and Microsoft whether existing Windows
Phone 8 devices will be able to be upgraded to Windows
8.1. The bumbling non-answers he was given are
Hamblen got in touch with Nokia and asked whether
Nokia's Windows 8 Phones, including the high-end
Lumia 1020 and the lower-cost Lumia 520 would be
upgradable to Windows 8.1. A Nokia spokeswomen
emailed him this answer:
"We don't comment on future products, but
Microsoft has confirmed that smartphones
running Windows Phone 8 will be upgradeable
to Windows Phone 8.1."
Seems pretty clear, doesn't it? But clarity, apparently,
isn't something that Nokia or Microsoft is interested in.
Two hours later she sent back a non-clarification with
"Microsoft has confirmed that smartphones
running Windows Phone 8 will be upgradeable."
Upgradeable to what? you might wonder. Nokia isn't
saying. Either is Microsoft. The company told Hablen
that the Windows Phone operating system:
"is upgradeable ... If or how individual devices
are upgraded has not been announced."
Thanks, Microsoft. That clears up things.
Jack Gold, an analyst at J. Gold Associates, was harsh
but right on target when he said this to Hamblen about
Microsoft's refusal to provide an answer to whether
Windows Phone 8 devices will be able to be upgraded to
"Of the majors, only Microsoft seems to be hiding
the facts or at least not being straight about
them. Users have a right to expect a yes or no
answer" as to whether their specific devices are
upgradeable. In this case, both Microsoft and
Nokia are at fault for not being straight with
their customers, which seems like a repeat of the
same story we saw the last time Windows Phone
had a major upgrade."
The upgrade he's referring to is Windows Phone 7 to
Windows Phone 8 --- Windows Phone 7 devices couldn't
be upgraded to Windows Phone 8. And Gold was being
gentle with Microsoft here, because he calls the
company one of "the majors" when it comes to a
smartphone operating system. Windows Phone 8 has a
market share of only around 3% . Calling Microsoft a
major is a bit of a stretch.
Microsoft is so far behind in the smartphone market that
it can't afford blunders like this. Any phone you buy
should be able to be upgraded to at least a point release
in the operating system -- from Windows Phone 8 to
Windows Phone 8.1, for example. People expect that,
and justifiably so.
Microsoft should also be honest with people about
whether phones they're considering buying today will be
able to be upgraded to a minor operating system
upgrade in the next several months. Not to do so is
arrogance -- and when you've got a 3% market share
you can't afford to be arrogant.
If I were considering buy a Windows Phone today, I'd
cross it off the list. I'm sure other people feel the same
way. Why buy a phone that may not run the newest
operating system that will be released in a few months?
And why buy from a company that won't answer the
most basic question about a phone's capabilities?

That will be a big mistake from MS if 8.1 dont come to lumia 920, then finaly I'll go for android and samsung. Till today I had only Nokia phones, and believed, but after this... Nokia and MS go to hell
nop, 04 Dec 2013u r kiddingOfcourse not mate......am trying to help people who are planning to buy a nokia lumia product.
Think if you are stuck without a real firmware update after buying a flagship. ...
GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE GUYS.......
Information is everywere.....we just need to look for it....
AnonD-204681, 04 Dec 2013I read an article about a representative or someone from Nokia said that indeed, all WP 8 devi... moreExactly Riddler....thats the same news I was talking about..
BUT PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM choose to ignore what I said....
Like I said JUST GOOGLE guys....the time u take to comment my response is enough for you to read the real facts from internet....
Why do you think lumia 920 a flagship has been discontinued within such a short time????
The pace at which nokia is announcing new lumias is a hint.may be microsoft told nokia they will update inly devices with a new hardware configuration. ...so nokia is releasing all their pipelined lumias before the 8.1 update....
Now that microsoft acquired nokia they have their own plans for how the hardware should be...
I read an article about a representative or someone from Nokia said that indeed, all WP 8 device will be upgraded to 8.1 then after 2 hours she retracted her statement saying all WP 8 devices will be upgradable. I think they could be hinting all current WP 8 devices won't be getting WP 8.1 upgrade but instead current WP8 devices will only be getting GDR updates which is sad. If that happened they will definitely lose market share.
AnonD-182990, 02 Dec 2013That's totally some crapPlz check in google before you comment...
Just google it....its there.....I went to but lumia 920 thinking its price will be slashed and the shopkeeper himself told me its been stopped since 2-3months....
Thats when I googled and found the real facts....
In an interview a nokia staff told that all devices will be updated to 8.1 and then after somwtime she uodated it saying all devices will be updated according to microsoft.
Ofcourse every device will be updated, but not to 8.1
People might be seeling the old stock of lumia 920.but its production has been stopped.
PLS GOOGLE IT GUYS.........
