Alright having recently bought the phone I can share my views of the phone in 2017:
1. The screen is absolutely stunning. The OS looks amazing, with insanely saturated colours. It can be compared to today's AMOLED phones like the S7-it's that good.
2. Overall phone performance was a little bit sluggish sometimes. 95% of the time is zips along but then there'd be the occasional frame drop, even when just going through the menu.
3. Above average camera (for 2017). It was a little slow sometimes but photos in decent lighting were spot on. When recording videos, the microphones live up to the hype. It is simply outstanding.
4. Battery life was pretty average, there is nothing much to say about that.
5. Only 25GB of storage is available to the user, without expansion capabilities.
6. Build quality is solid as well, but my matte black finish would show fingerprints quite clearly-the metal frame of the phone however, has that cold luxury when you pick it up.
Overall, it's a pretty decent phone for 2017. The Snapdragon 800 is huffing and puffing, but will get the job done for someone who isn't a power user. I especially enjoy that Word/Excel/Powerpoint is built in. However, I'd recommend it more as a secondary device rather than as a main unit, as the performance and storage deficiencies may be too much for some people to overlook.
I've been using this phone for more than 2 years now and it works perfectly.I play games a lot,but the battery lasts long enough. The only con is that pictures taken in low lighting are a bit grainy. And before I forget the sound is amazing. All in all this phone is great and I recommend it to everyone :)

Im going to be using it as a secondary device with my iPhone and I think the 930 is a great choice. I will be updating this post :)

If you can find it for $300 or less, it's good value. The screen is beautiful, the camera can hold its own against most other smartphone cameras, and the general construction is solid, save for the adhesive that keeps the screen+touch digitiser stack glued to the aluminum frame. There's also a design issue that causes one of the microphone pairs to fail, and to compensate for that you have to use hadsfree/ wireless heaphones instead of the speaker mode during calls. The audio jack has a tendency to fail, just like all audio jacks do as they wear out over time. The biggest deciding factor is whether you absolutely need certain apps to connect with your friends (Snapchat) or if you crave to install every new app that pops under the sun (Pokemon Go, Super Mario Run). If not, then you can happily run Windows 10 Mobile on the 930. In some cases, the best third party Windows app is miles better than the official version on Android/iOS - a notable example being YouTube.
rfranc, 21 Mar 2017I recently bought one for only 180USD the camera is the only reason why I bought it.Really? I'm curious as I may buy one as well. Do you have any comparisons between current flagships (S7, IP7 etc)?

Hi; the problem that cant using the mic while talking on the loud speaker mode is solved with update, or does it still go on? Pls help.
Nokia 930 is a very bad phone with a good design.
battery is drain so fast. i charge the phone twice a day for normal use.
camera is just so so, i expect more with 20MP spec camera, but i think the quality is average, especially if you take a pic with low lighting.
and the worst is the screen have a strange problem. it started as a small stain and it grows a little everyday, and almost 70% of the my nokia screen is darker now.
sorry for my bad english.
I have dropped my lumia and shattered the screen - is there anyway to access the contacts
I always update my lumia 930, and windows makes it more fantastic. I dont understand why there are too many disappointed statement here
oussama kng, 11 Feb 2017I was not so sure about updating to W10 cuz according to some users there was several problems... moreI upgraded my 930 to Windows 10 Mobile and after that performed a factory reset. I works great after that.
skunk, 09 Jan 2017Does the Windows 10 update make the camera worse or better? From my experience with Windows 10 Mobile on the Lumia 930, the phone functionality is definitely WORSE. User control has been all but completely removed. You are also forced to endure Horrible Automatic Over-Processing for Every Photo with no options for turning this feature off or for using a different camera controller, such as something similar to 'Microsoft Camera.' Please read this, Win 10M development. With all due respect, this new implementation is a bit of an insult to the end user's intelligence and creative capabilities.
I got my lumia 930 in feb 2015..but within one year...it got repaired..i upgraded to windows 10..for some days it worked well..then restarting problem occurs..automatically it restarts..everytime..now it shows only nokia..then off...i roll backed to windows 8.1 using recovery tool ...even though the problem exists...for the past 10 months...it has been checked in more than 10 service centres...but no one identified..wat happened .....30,000 INR wasted...😢
I was buy Lumia 930 before 4 months and I was noticed loud speaker is not working then I have given to CGC service center in Qatar. Still, I don't received the useful feedback from the. but, they noticed this phone can not be repair and also they do not have stock the same model. They want to replace the phone which is less configuration and older model when compare with Lumina 930. I do not recommend this type of brand.
Anonymous, 10 Feb 2017I did the upgrade (Lumia930 W8.1 to W10) and I do not regret. I was not so sure about updating to W10 cuz according to some users there was several problems with the update such as the mic problem !! Did you face this problem?
Should I update my Lumia 930 to W10 or keep my W8.1 ??? Looking forward for the new releases by Nokia this year,I love my Lumia 930 but it is sad to see essential apps such as facebook,insta,youtube,messenger,... None developed and you can't use all the good features android gives :) but however I won't change my Nokia until they bring something better to the table !!!
