I got this phone two weeks ago and, touch wood, its fantastic with no problems.
Any teething problems I've had have been my own fault for not reading the manual properly. I agree that the speakers aren't great but Im not using this as a speaker system. Its a phone that has lots of extras so its all looking good.
Ive got some updated software in terms of web browser and a couple of good games, apart from that can anyone recommend any 'must have' software ?
somebdy just told me we can access anybody's data and messages through bluetooth by N90!
is it possible in N70???????????and how?
Mate, Sony Ericsson's are the worst phone EVER made, N70= Quality, Recomeded that you keep it aye!
Guys..stated that the card used for N70 is RS-DV-MMC..can i buy the standard RS-MMC? and will it corrupt my N70 if i were to used the standard RS-MMC
I am impressed with the features on the N70. It isnt the latest of the N series but im satisified with quality. From the menu, to the speakers, down to the buttons. This phone is suitable for most lifestyles. I can use this for work as well as personal things. I wouldnt trade this for any Sony Ericsson.
Does anyone know which is the latest firmware for N70. Please it's really important. Which version and date. Anyone ?????
Fantastic phone camera fantastic and free 1 GB memory card from orange with my phone, 'tho gallery is slow to access, only fault so far touch wood!!!
I hate this phone, i got it from a realitive for my birthday and it broke the day i got it, the main camera wont work properlly and im disgusted with the poor service
Also i have noticed that on my Vodafone version the P2T is noware to be found! I have seen nothing of it in the menus and when i push the P2T button it just is the camera buton. Does Vodafone UK have this phone working with P2T? also 6680 is like this. Thanks Timmy
Hey Abs, i had a D600 and it was not as cool as the N70, N70 video recording is the best, even better than my old Sharp 903, I have the Vodafone version and i have no faults, only that it is slow when accessing the memory card from the Gallery. Otherwise this is an awesome phone, Also D600 comes with no memory card and can only go up to a 512 if you can even find one! N70 can go up to a gig i think, possibly even more if they had a 2G RS-MMC ( does anyone have one?) Thanks Timmy
Has anyone got this phone on orange ?
If yes fo you have any problems i.e. being slow and turns off. I am thinking of buying it or the D600?
please email me - firstname.lastname@example.org
Recently my friend bought N70, then his girlfriend took picture from it... Suddenly the phone turn off, can never turn on again. He went to the shop and ask why. The answer - the camera "blew off". Do you still wanna buy this phone. And of course, they get a new N70 for him. So, think before u buy!
bought this phone just recently . . and it took me 1 month in deciding which phone to buy . . . but in the end i guess made the right decision by buyin N70 . . i compared camera qualities of SE W800 n k750i & Samsung d600 . . . picture qualities of all r same as nokia n70 . . . but when it comes to record videos . . they r nowhere near N70 . . in SE n D600 the pixels seem to b disturbed . . and isnt tht clear . . in nokia its just crystal clear . . along with tht nokia SD cards are cheaper then other cards . . and supports all symbian softwares . . . its fun !
i would advice you to go for it !!
x Repeated alarm system is missing; where one can set alarm to ring on the days needed.
x If one misses to ask the phone to pick information from the SIM and starts using, like I did, no provision to retrieve info again from the SIM eg. sms and contact names on the SIM.
x Cannot retain CALL LOG comprehensively i.e. to store number of times and time until user decides to delete.
x Voice recording is limited to only one minute. Should last much more longer. Very very important.
These are some of my concerns.
Bad phone. I have been using since a month. Lot of problems. DO NOT RECOMEND. The voice activation is very bad. Dials any random no from the phone book and can not be deactivated. I cannot dial 111 which is a free service provider no.. And many more.......... NOKIA SELLS N70 IN MY AREA BUT ASKS ME TO GER THE PHONE TO A CENTER IN MUMBAI.
BAD PHONE & BAD SERVICE. Regrect buying.
O and i have the Vodafone NZ version, and i have not had any faults or any slow down, except when going into the galary it is slow, But thats all. Sound quality is also very awesome. Highly Recomended buy!!
i got this phone today, it is on Vodafone and has branding and also it had this weird Vodafone logo insted of the Operator name, Does anyone know how to get rid of this? it looks strange unles i use the Theme 1, otherwise i have this nice blue theme with this stupid red and white logo up the top, Not a fault of Nokia tho, I have come from a Sharp 903, and i love this phone, Power Packed little beast!!! Look forward for any help. Thanks Timmy
