No need to consider, just BUY N70 now.
The fon isn't slow but u should test it when u're buying cos some N70s might be slow. I bought this fon a week ago with my friends. My friend's N70 is slow but mind isn't.
The fon looks fantastic n feel like u hold a metal fon not like plastic fon such as 6680.
The camera is superb esp the Vid recording, no fon can compare except N90. The sound is great too.
The slightly disappointed is the keypad is a bit small.
U can't go wrong with N70. Come on, don't mess ur mind. It's even better than N90. I sold 90 n go for 70... The right way!!!
U can mail me if u want to know any about N70.
this might be a stupid question, but can you install the new firmware yourself? how do you do it?
Hi Everyone. Would really like ur help in deciding whether 2 get d N70. I need 2 make my mind up quickly & it seems a good phone. But in reading many have debated whether or not 'it is slow' (not sure in what way) Could some long time users please give me their straight opinion (& alternatives if necessary). Thanks for your speedy help :)
to hide the files from gallery use a program named fexplorer, go to that file and in properties set it to hidde.
and for thoes how has problems with the sound download the patch from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Nokia-n70/
please excuse my enlish.i'm learning
doesnt anyone know any recommended symbian software which can be install for protect n hiding item in the gallery like mumsms.sis which use to lock the sms message with password or beconme invisible.
I just owned the phone for 1 month and now, it's residing in Nokia Care centre for 5 days of servicing.
Not sure if it's the software or wat? But the ringtone does not get preset as what was selected and it's really very slow. The phone also hang by itself.
So for those who are really thinking abt it.. do think 2x abt it. Now, i am considering changing to V3i
I know how to lock the N70 using a security code.
To do it, you do these things.
Go to settings, security settings, phone and SIM, scroll down to Autolock period & change it (min. 1 min)(the lock code is the default security code 12345). You can change the lock code to anything you want its just the next setting after the autolock period.
After you have set the autolock period (for eg. 1 min), don't touch the phone for 1 minute and after that you have to enter the lock code to unlock the phone.
I really hope this helps Sara!!!!!!!!!
Feel free to ask me any questions to this reply.
Again: you lock it and you open the shutter. while open, you CAN access the menu, in which case the phone unlocks. But if you close the shutter WITHOUT having accessed the menu, then the phone gets back to locked.
so this means if the phone is locked and sum1 open the shutter then the person doesnot have any access to the mobile menu until n unless the key pad is unlocked.. THats good
Thank u Very much
And another thing: you lock it, you open the shutter and: 1) if you close it, it gets back to locked 2) if you access any menu while the shutter is open, then it unlocks...
Yes, when locked with the simple way, opening the camera unlocks it and you have full access. There is no option for password protection, at least I haven't found one (and I've done a lot of searching). And just to make myself clear: the "Security" word in my previous messages refers to aLLeXiNho's question regarding a specific option in the Office application; it has nothing to do with keypad password protection...
But atleast u shud b know that if u have locked ur keypad by the simpke method with out any security then does it gets unlocked when u open the camera shutter.. Huh.?
The Security button starts installing something. I don't know what it is, so I don't mess with it, but that goes only for security issues. I'm definitely in favor of experimenting as it's the only way of learning how to use your device, any device; I just feel uneasy installing something unknown regarding Security, see what I mean?
I am buying n70 soon can u guyz plz tell me that how is the battery of n70...tell me if the phone have any problems
