The N82 indeed has far better tech than a N78. The N82 does video recording at VGA 30FPS.
Has TV-Out, Accelerometer, 5mp camera with an internal camera lense protector AND external, Xenon Flash, PowerVR MBX2 Graphics Processing Unit that makes the N82 able to handle Graphic Accelerated games like GlobalRace, QuakeII OpenGL, videos at above 30fps VGA. Etc. . . The N82, N95 and E90 make the N78 look like an old Atari. this phone microSD can support up to how many GB? anyone knows? this must be a great phone . you get what you bargain for. the auto focus and macro feature do attract me very much . It come with wifi too.. I was wow!!

why I must pay 500$ for phone with GPS and I don't have navigation after all when I just can buy some Windows PPC and have navigation in every language I can imagine?

i didn't say n82 is cheap,
it is more expensive than n78
because. Look if u r going 2 buy a new phone u buy n82 not n78 because all of the bugs that it has.:)
but i ensure u that when they make a new firmware for it, its price will be high in the sky.:)
n78 has more features than all other phones !

All features very good but what happened to keypad is this phone for babies,nokia should get some advice from samsung about the design of the keypad.make larger keypads,nokias bigest succesors were 6230 and 6233 such a smooth keypads with good design.i am not saying this has a bad design but keypad should be bigger enough to type otherwise this phone is WOooww.

this phone is the best nseries phone! truly worth your money if you bought it 2 weeks ago at 290 dollars only. it's a great deal. you can never buy an nseries phone that has same functionality of n78 for only 290 dollars! even n81 8gb which is 20 dollars more expensive is not even half of n78. talking about price/functionality, n78 is the best. but sadly, price of this phone is going higher this time because of increasing demand, i think.

if you said that N82 is cheap then so does N78
the lack of ngage & multitasking you've said for present firmware prove the weak of N78
just beg to nokia to get new firmware Bro
N82 already has all of we need since it released

n78 design is the best, n82 looks very cheap in the plastic all over it! N81 has this light leak everywhere!
N78 has all of the best N-series features : 3.2 MP Carl zeiss auto focus cam, WLan, GPS, Fm transmitter, too loud stero speakers, fast bluetooth, 1200ma battery, 3g, navi wheel, light sensor, up to 8gb memory card! Symbian os 9.3 feature pack 2 which a whole new world in the gallery!! has n-gage support that will be realsed soon by the time those two devices n79 n85 realsed!
So no other device has all those features!
It have it all except TV OUT ONLY!
So it can be ALL IN ONE DEVICE!

It needs a new frimeware because it cannot handle the multi tasking as good n81! The REAL PLAYER cannot stream videos, cannot replay videos!!!
JUST A NEW FRIMWARE IS NEEDED TO BECOME THE ULTIMATE NSERIES DEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some ppl say that its keypad is not comfort !LMAO

sorry guys, n78's price has gone up again. i checked it on ebay. about 20 percent is added this week to its previous price cut down. there are just some people like me who are lucky enough to buy this phone when its price was still low.

Uhmm. . .NO the N78 is not better than a N82, its a FACT. The N82 remains NOKIAs Imaging Flagship whereas the N78 is nothing but part of NOKIA's Market Product Testing phone everything put in to it was half hearted which is a shame. About the battery. N78 is using a Li-ion batt whereas N81 and N82 make use of Li-Po which are superior batteries, and are little more expensive.

Listen up guys, this could be 1 of d best opinion about n78 ever had. This is a sleek multimedia computer, With the fm transmitter,navi wheel, new looks. Processer is not slow as well. The bad aspects are, speakerphone is not good, tv out not provided, hard to place camera on using self timer, don't have pen key.:) neways its good for the given price. Guys Enjoy with it..
