Louie, 23 Jul 2008Can u guys explain to me what GEOTAGGING does??
why is it some kinda important?geotagging, s d process of adding geographical identification metadata (multiple content item or info) to various media such as images, websites, and RSS feeds. ds data usually consists of latitude and longitude coordinates, though it can also include altitude, bearing, and names of places.
important or no, it depends on d user. if ur d kind of guy who embraces d digital era, wants extra data to b included automatically wd ur shots and blogging is part of ur lifestyle den geotagging wil be very useful for ya.
hop dat helps =)
Can v change the cover of this n78.coz the original cover is quite sensitive

Shreyas, 22 Jul 2008give me reason.... why do I buy N78..
plz.... help me...
A.the price is low considering its capability
1.display quality is better than n82 and n95 8GB
2.FM transmitter (won't find that in many smart phones)
4.geo tagging (both photos and videos)
5.processing speed is twice as fast compared to other nokia nseries.
6. to top it up, its got a "navi wheel" meaning you can scroll some applications faster the same way you do with apple ipods.
need more reasons or have doubt? let me know
hi there, i just got my n78 today but i want to quickly post this. refering to the keypad everyone is "crucifying".
listen, there's nothing like the keypad ever at the same time using this keypad is hell? no way, this keypad is heaven sent! come on, it's a smart phone, the keypad is sleek!
small though which i think is just fine cause it dosen't create any errors while typin. gotta finish going through all the features....if need be u can ask me what ever doubt you have. finally, i recommend the phone.
ps:the "voting results" is too low for n78 considering its features.

As I understand it this is the same for N82, N95 etc. It relates to navigation ONLY (turn left after 200 yds etc etc) - all other Maps applications, route planner, GPS location etc still work and the GPS will still follow your journey, and show it on screen, in real time. The N78 (probably N82 and N95 also)also operates Assisted GPS which uses the cellular network if needed, as well as the GPS satelites, to get a quicker location fix. I can get a fix in about 10-15 seconds. This can also be used to geo-tag your photos. Hope this is useful
one reason, its a recent one with the n96 and n82 and it dosent have the same camera... its much weaker compared to almost every new phones 5 mp camera.
One more question. I read some where that a N78 user only have a certain number of weeks or days to use the navigation, and that it is reqeusted to pay extra afterwards. What is it with this? Will it still be possible to use the N78 for gps coordinates, travel speeds, in the google earth application and in the pre installed maps 2?
Thanks GUZ. I will then test it with some classical music. By the way, nice review you have on the phone!

What I can say is that in my opinion the audio quality is much better than any sony ericsson or samsung I have ever owned. The built in FM transmitter also allows you to listen to your music through any FM receiver, for example in your car. I would suggest you ask for a demo at a local store and judge for yourself before making your decision. Hope this is useful
I am an absolute audiophile. How is the QUALITY AND LOUDNESS through both the LOUDSPEAKERS AND EARPHONES. Please some one answer me hounestly with practical experiance with the N78.
The lack of camera lens cover makes it UGLY because it's prone to scratches especially the chrome areas! Buy an N82 or 6220 instead of N78...
I have had the N78 for 3 weeks now. I have read various reviews and questions people have posted and felt that I should give my opinion. The N78 is the first smartphone I have ever owned and I can honestly only criticise 2 things ... the battery cover is (as pointed out in the review) a bit shaky and the front surface is prone to fingerprints. However, the positives FAR outnumber the negatives. The camera is great (as is the geo-tagging facility) and far better than my samsung G800, the A-GPS and Maps work really well, the music player is fantastic and the FM transmitter is an absolute god-send that allows me to listen to my music in the car. I have an 8gb card installed and there is very little slowdown (only noticed sometimes when using the navi-wheel to spin through images). My biggest concern before purchasing the N78 was the keypad but in my opinion it is an absolute pleasure to use with fantastic feedback - FAR BETTER than my SE K810 or W880. I have not made ANY typing errors that weren't my fault. I have fairly large fingers but, admittedly, only use one hand to type. In a nutshell, I would highly recommend this handset to anyone ... it is very sleek for a smartphone and all the applications work really well.
this is the most rocking phone i ever had! The features are amazing and the camera is like 5mp. Best phone for music and wow it supports 8gb
