One more question. I read some where that a N78 user only have a certain number of weeks or days to use the navigation, and that it is reqeusted to pay extra afterwards. What is it with this? Will it still be possible to use the N78 for gps coordinates, travel speeds, in the google earth application and in the pre installed maps 2?

How is the QUALITY AND LOUDNESS through both the LOUDSPEAKERS AND... moreStefanus, I have not owned a Nokia for many years so I cant compare the audio quality to, for example, the N95. What I can say is that in my opinion the audio quality is much better than any sony ericsson or samsung I have ever owned. The built in FM transmitter also allows you to listen to your music through any FM receiver, for example in your car. I would suggest you ask for a demo at a local store and judge for yourself before making your decision. Hope this is useful

The lack of camera lens cover makes it UGLY because it's prone to scratches especially the chrome areas! Buy an N82 or 6220 instead of N78...

I have had the N78 for 3 weeks now. I have read various reviews and questions people have posted and felt that I should give my opinion. The N78 is the first smartphone I have ever owned and I can honestly only criticise 2 things ... the battery cover is (as pointed out in the review) a bit shaky and the front surface is prone to fingerprints. However, the positives FAR outnumber the negatives. The camera is great (as is the geo-tagging facility) and far better than my samsung G800, the A-GPS and Maps work really well,the music player is fantastic and the FM transmitter is an absolute god-send that allows me to listen to my music in the car. I have an 8gb card installed and there is very little slowdown (only noticed sometimes when using the navi-wheel to spin through images). My biggest concern before purchasing the N78 was the keypad but in my opinion it is an absolute pleasure to use with fantastic feedback - FAR BETTER than my SE K810 or W880. I have not made ANY typing errors that weren't my fault. I have fairly large fingers but, admittedly, only use one hand to type. In a nutshell, I would highly recommend this handset to anyone ... it is very sleek for a smartphone and all the applications work really well.

to improve battery life mod the unit as follows: remove battery, open the case halves, carefully solder a jumper wire from the cpu bottom leftmost terminal to the positive battery terminal, reassemble then do a reset. your battery should last veeeeeeeeeeeeery long

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2008question!!! other than the number pads.. the top 4 buttons r touchs? not press?Its all press type, buttons are flush with the surface. Only the Naviwheel is of the touch type.
