I like nokia and know that they are top of the ... moreI agree! i love nokia... anyone that knows specs, loves nokia... but as far as design, i dont think they're the most creative, they keep it simple... too simple sometimes. but unlike most people, when it comes to a phone i think functionality is more important eventho looks still matter. if i were all about flashy, pretty phones i'd get an iPhone.. like all the other poor unaware trendy consumers.
i still do wonder why this phone is more expensive than N82, though.

the N78 will live in the shadow of N82.
But if nokia put a xenon flash on N78, it will going to be a dif'rent story all together.

What stopped me from buying this phone is the keypad. Gsmarena is true, the keypad is simply horrible.

This N78 is good but the keypad are not good at all,the calling and answering key does not function well and i ll prefer N82 instead,i just bought N78 but i ll give it to my Mom and Go for N82.

n78 is the best in n series till now..the design of the phone is good..

Fail to understand why Nokia initially priced the N 78 more expensive than N 82??
Even now at the moment, eventhough the price of N 78 has dropped, it's still so surprising that there is only a very slight price difference between N 78 & N 82..
Advantage of N 78 over N 82 is that N 78 has Stereo Speakers.
Advantage of N 82 over N 78 is that, N 82 has 5 MP cam, whereas N 78 has 3.2 MP Cam.
The buyer is left confussed on what exactly he or she wants.

Please don't take it N78, I spend $540 for this phone.It is a new phone from Nokia shop I got, but can use only 4 days, then not work any more, because of Symbian OS, S60 rel. 3.2 OS, make it restart all the time, so I can not call anybody, Now it is in Nokia Servic for a week. SO sadly about this, because I took very long time waiting for this phone... Please think about this before your spend your money on N78...

what happened to the creative design of nokia? I like nokia and know that they are top of the line function wise. But I've been looking through the newer release of nokia (mostly N series) and find the design is just plain boring. Anyone got the same thought? or I'm I just being a picky bastard

hi, last week i purchased this phone.
this is best phone i ever i had.
for last 6 months i am using N81. My new N78 beat it in everything. really awesome.
browse the web is really tremendous.
what a superb display. none of the mobile can stand infront of the N78 display.
topnotch camera.fantastic sounds.. nice clarity.. equall to N81. really super.
thaks Nokia.
Office applications loading very very fest.
nokia N81 should beg to N78 in all funtional areas.
this is the only best phone from nokia too.
the price of the phone is Rs.19,300 (india-chennai)

Still I am not cleared. Recently the review for N78 was up on gsmarena.com but in it, it said that the phone's music playback quality is not good which sets me off. Another factor is the looks of the phone itself. The last factor is the price which is higher then that of N82!?!?

of course it's cheaper than n82. just compare their cameras. n78=3.2Mpix whereas n82=5Mpix.. i just can't see any reason why you should compare the price of this phone to n82. they're different in almost all aspects.

The description for the US version of N78 says:
Nokia N78-3 Black US NAM (unlocked)
Does anyone know if the back cover is really black (ie, not brown)? There appears to be a black cover version from the photos I see on different places on the net.

can somebody please tell me does the back really move and wobble alot, and is there really a squicky sound coming from the back when squeezing or operating the phone in general !? thx

went to carphonewarehouse today and was shocked by the build quality.Absolute crap.
will wait for n 96, hope it wont be the same quality
