Can anybody tel me whether the pencil key is present in FP1 & FP2.? Thanks. What about the ringing volume of N78? Is it louder than the ringing volume of SE K750i ?
Friends...Iam in deep trouble..Help me..Iam a smartfone maniac and i keep changing mobiles(Nokia only) on a regular basis till i find a better one. But now i want to have a have a fone which i can rely on for the next one year. First i was confused between N78 and N95-1. Nw the reviews and opinions made me stay away from N95. Now iam confused between N82 n its sibling N78. My budget comes just under(350 € or 20k Indian Rupees). I heavily use ma fone for sms, listening 2 music in loudspeaker and for surfing the net using edge(No 3g in India). So please help me out. Thanks!!!
Have you read the review? N78's audio quality is nothing extraordinary. It means it's UNDER PAR with N91 and N81.
yoy are right a person who have used N82/N81 will find it useless this is for rel 9.1 version users.
you talked about brightness and navi wheel so i confirm you if am not wrong it is the brightest nseries phone nokia have produced ever ,i love its brightness ,and navi wheel very very fast and works in almost every feature
@dave loves kayne
You said you saw this phone worth 20k here in the Philippines... can I ask where??? Thx!!!
I'm a big fan of Symbian. Nokia knows it's importance on investing more in the software business. It's the software that brings us all back to the S60 platform. Overall the N78 is stable, reliable and fast.
The phones looks tempting but NOKIA please GIVE us QWERTY NSeries with 2.8" screen.
imran, 11 Jun 2008Hi guys,no doubt i am agreat nokia fan.Ihave sold my N82 and bought N78 1 week ago in LAHORE a... moresalam imran..
you r really scaring me!
first about the music.. u say 24songs.. lets say each song 5mins then total two hrs.. pls check the battery life till the end and come back again. u should get atleast 10hrs max. the 24hr playback is in flight mode or offline mode.. that is u cannot make any phone calls or anything so lot of power is saved since it doesnt search for a network.
about the fp2.. yes people have mixed opinion especially people just coming out of fp1. u will not find it xciting since u already had an n82 which itself is quite good. only older symbian users might find it interesting.
and did u feel that the screen is better than the n82.. maybe a lot brighter and clearer? wut abt the navi-wheel? was it worth losing out on the accelerometer?
keep in touch..
N78 is for the looks, for now no S60 phone can match its UI looks
N82 is for performance, speed and stability, no other phone can beat N82 INSANE speed.
Hi guys,no doubt i am agreat nokia fan.Ihave sold my N82 and bought N78 1 week ago in LAHORE at 490$.Keeping in mind some of its key points i.e,
3.Newer, Reliable and Faster Operating system FP2
4.Slim and Light Weight
But i frankly tell you ''ALL THAT GLITTER IS NOT GOLD''
Firstly its battery very poor Nokia says 24hrs music playback oh! by playing only 24 songs its first 2-3 bars droped,which normally takes much time than the remaining ones,so you can imagine remaining bars will take how much time.
2ndly Music no doubt it is good to the level it can loud ,but it is even less louder than n82(latest firmware)so what is the benifit.
3rdly FP2 which was considered the whole n78,it has nothing that will excite you(like excited me)even slower but it does not hang.
The $th point is right but the keys are very hard and more is that ,call answer call end and right selection keys will bother you.
so my suggestion is that we should buy n82(i must say nokia leader)or the best is that should wait for anoter one maybe this time nokia will not make us silly obviously when they will examine N78s sales.
Hey all. I am so confused about the N78. Some people say the loudspeakers sucks, some people say the loudspeaker are good. Can someone please give their hounest experiance about the loudness and qaulity of the LOUDSPEAKERS of the N78, and how it's loudspeakers differs from the N81. Please. Thanks.

I saw this phone awhile ago here in Park Square 1 (manila) looks like the N82. Their price range is almost the same. Why would anyone get this phone when the n82 has alot more to offer with the same price as this?...any comment?
Sarmad, 09 Jun 2008I am using this for a week now. Very nice feature packed phone, I would say an allrounder. Ex... moreHey Sarmad, how's the FM transmitter feature? I have read reviews that it sounded very bad and not useable.
sameer, 10 Jun 2008i m using nokia n81 8gb n i must tell u its an awesome phone compared to the features it has, ... moreim usin same and read bad report here for the speaker quality for the n78 now im thinking should i keep my n81 and earlier posts suggests n78 is louder even my misses moans when i get a text is that loud n78is the louder or as bad as reported here earlier i like the fm trans thing but using it as walkman as i do n81 i want to no the only other phone to come near the n81 for sound and loudness was the 6270
Can somebody check whether the radio has RDS option? Seems that it doesn't appear in the specs, but gets mentioned in the manual.
What seems to be the consensus is this will be good phone but it isn't yet because Symbian 3.2 isn't read yet.
BabyLuV, 09 Jun 2008CONFUSEEEEED! which phone to get... when i go to nokia n81 8GB opinion... users say get the no... morei m using nokia n81 8gb n i must tell u its an awesome phone compared to the features it has, n that's in such a reasonable price.so i suggest u don get confused n go for it ,u definately won't regret it.
n78 is now officially available in the Philippines! 20,200 pesos. 2gb memory card.
@vijay and babyLUV
you both should also consider the n82. In my opinion you will like it. Also its cheaper than the n78.
