People you see to be forgeting that N81 is a Gaming, Music and Video device. Pretty different from N78,but yes N78 excels in more things, but next to an N82 its still medium range. As a N81 owner im not pissd because i plannd ahead i bought N81 knowing that il upgrade later this year, although N81 apparently has a major FW update on the way which will add WRT, FL3 and a few other things, maybe even Navi-wheel support in the rest of the menus.
Totaly understand. But thats NOKIA for you, they add something and remove or weaken the other.
proud owners of N81 will be mighty pissed when this baby hits the market
i bought this device from tokyo
from the sweater elie in the world
Thanx for the long analysis man.....But im still confused of which one to buy the n82 or the n78.
But if the price difference isnt more than 30 euro i think i will go for the n82.....
I know that the n78 packs better audio quality, bigger battery, newer operating system, fm transmitter.........
But still the n82s better camera, ram, graphics accelerater, lens protecter and TV out out weighs the n78s capabilities....... and if the n82 shows up in black like the n78 then i think that i will face a confusion.......
But still the price diff between them will play a big factor in my decision in July.
Anyway Dan i really apreciated your opinion and i think i helped you in deciding which one to buy.
Is't the sucsesor of N73? By reading the specification above.. Nokia only give one addition of feature that is HSDPA, while its not too make any big different than UMTS on N73 if we were using the lack operator.. So its not should be offering too expensive..
According to nokia, the n78 combines music, photography and geotagging. The music quality is the same as n81. It a bit better than n81 in other areas like having HSPDA, GPS with A-GPS, 3.2mp carl zeiss camera, less weight, navi-wheel which works for every menu, etc.
I think one can conclude n78 as a music solution with many other features.
By the way, i think this may threaten n81.
Hey all im just interstd to knw if this is a dedicated music phone like N81 or not
fine,i believe you.it's just we all see good to excellent phones popping here and there but they all lack at least, that little something.we should all ask for that basic. years ago i said, lets ditch that ridiculous screen, just get us a one key board and a projector. they getting there.but phones without keyboards are ridiculous,no typing possible without a stylus, that will scratch the screen in less than a month.
how much is this mobile phone N78..it looks great and i think I will get one of it. can anyone give me idea about this phone. tnx
Having been a slave to clunky PDA/Smartphones this one seems to be a breath of fresh air. I can't wait until I can lay my hands on it...
I know because the MicroSDHC standard for phones goes up to 32GB although yes the N96 will support 48GB. There are already 12GB and 16GB MicroSD cards in final testing. And 32GB being tested.
Nokia, you're almost there.Apple ? nice try but too many limits.Sony ? screens too dull on most.Samsung ? always almost good but too many bugs and surprise doesn't do that softwares.maybe Archos should do us a phone then.
lets be clear here. who wants a phone with a big bright VGA 16m colours screen for video, pictures and such,AND a decent snapper,a pleasantly clear powerful enough stereo speaker sound, quick to respond, scratch proof crystal sapphire screen, keyboard well laid out, whose buttons don't detach itself after the very first bump,no memory limits, plus all connections,AND a battery that lasts 2 good full days of heavy duty ? thats the basics. No phone should have less, make them look good too.Anyone asks less from his phone ?
well,i've tried a 8gb card on 2 N82,it would take it.ive tried the very same card on my N95 1 and it took it ,and real fast too. how would you know it takes a 32 gb card ,the 16gb doesn't even exist yet. besides,we're expecting up to 48gb microSDHc.the N82 is a superb phone, just that card problem AND the ridiculous speakers AND the dull screen makes it a loser compare to the more modest 5700,especially comparing prices,3 times cheaper, and its internal memory is 100mb,not 16gb,that's the N96,not out as off yet. Here is the opinion for the N78,and i asked,is the screen bright or dull like most Nseries, and what's with this tiny weeny keyboard that doesn't even make the phone smaller but surely will make it a pain to text to your mates.
will this phone be cheaper or more expensive than the market price of the N81 then?
