Hi guys can you tell me that how I can change my auto-rotation method of screen, previously it was rotating in a stylish manner but now it is rotating instantly which is not looking batter, so plz tell me that how i can keep it as like before I mean rotating in a revolving manner.

Have you seen the pictures captured by N97, N85, and N95 each have 5MP camera but batter than this one, My argument is in support of those many users who are having dissatisfaction with the camera quality in the name of 5MP, if you are saying that more MP is no guarantee of batter picture, than it mean Nokia can write any camera 5MP which is not indeed of that standered.
And thank for my spelling correction, but its SURELY not "surly".

You will find difficulty in understanding if you have not taken training or you used to listen. If you want to enhance this sound than you will have to perchase a software called "Talks" or "Mobile Speek" which will not only read out for you msgs but also each and every thing which is appear on the screen in text form. If you are well visioned than whats the need of such kind of feacher, ok enjoy.

few corrections and clarification,
Take a photo from N79 with firmware 20 or above. when you watch that in PC you'll feel excellent abt them. In case you want I can send a couple of them to you and you can self judge, you can even verify with exif header abt the device which creates the jpeg.
So it is indeed at par with other 5 mp offerings.( keeping xenon flash aside). Though I must say that till date I have not found any mobile camera beating my canon A570IS but its a good snapper otherwise.
I think unfortunately you encountered some faulty unit and got this assumption. More MP is not a guaranty of better picture but this N79 surly comes with a carl zeiss 5 MP shooter.
Second ganja is not bold its bald. :-)

It is i think is the best time to buy this, you'll get it at cheapest rate plus the firmware is very stable as so many updates are available.
It is a gr8 overall package, though now days 600 Mhz phone are rising.

The voice quality is so poor. i am unable to even understand what is being read out. I even downloaded a new voice from nokia site but its all the same. Can anyone tell me if this is the same in your case too?

I got repaired my handset but again creating same problem, it hangs up while trying to open FM radio. so I think it is menufacturing default. How irritative is that to visit nokia care again and again and they will hold the handset for several dayes.

I think beacause of this knid of issues, price of this mobile came down immediately. For me back cover sensor is making issues. Taking video is not continueous - means while taking video phone is getting hang in between, now display gone. n79 is rich of features and will give u opertunity to visit nokia care many times :(

Guys, I do not know how far this is correct but first batch of N79 was great in every aspect. Like build quality, camera, sound. As the price dropped everything was compromised. I own this great phone for the last 13 months and I am not in mood of changing this for the next 2yrs. Great phone with fantastic specs.

If I press the cancel ket display get blurred/garbled and goes into black. Now my display always black. Now I have to take this bloody phone to nokia care. This is the 3rd issue I am facing with this equipmeent for the last 3 months. I am seriously thinking on going back to some base model phone :(

All those who say that N79 camera is not good is a total crap.. N79 camera is great in daylight.. Quality is comparable to digital cameras.. The picture quality is so sharp, crisp, clear that it is difficult to distinguish taken by N79.. However, I accept that in night the quality is poor. This is due to the fact that there is a small slot left between the flash and lens.. N79 is a great phone. I have changed 13 mobile phones in 3yrs and this is the first phone which I have for 11 months in a row. N79 rocks! doesn't matter where you are one always has this great device with marvellous camera to this memorable shots.. I love N79!

Bob, 07 Dec 2009Clearly you got no idea what pixels are, how they are calculated, and what it means for one pi... moreOk sir you are very much aware about technicalities because you are mechanic at nokia care, I respect your experience relating to technical aspects. but you can't refute that this 5MP is comparable in view of the picture as final result, I m not much aware about how Pixels are accrued, but many people are subscribe to this view which i hold.
leave the matter of duplicacy of my handset because I have already got repaired my handset from Nokia Care owing to various problems, If it had been duplicate than they would have been told me, they are batter referee than you. so accept that the picture taken by this phone is not so clear or in the same streemline as other 5MP cameras. I think you had not priviledge to keep any other handset so you are happy this one only. I'll say something in ur honor as an idion, "ganjay ko nakhoon mil jana"(bold found nail)
