hi has anyone else had problems when getting an phonecall with the anwsering the phone? when i get i phone call and press the anwsering button the phone kinda anwsers the other person can hear me but i cant and the phone continus to ring and vibrate does anyone know whats wrong and why this happens?

I think,the N79 is beter than N82. N82 is older model..

Why the camera on n79 is not giving as good pics as other 5mp camera mobiles like samsung jet & n95. Pls reply if you are also having the same problem. Thanks

Raliegh, 04 Dec 2009I was able to have the privilege of having n82, e63 and n79 all at the same time and use them ... moreIn 2008 I have Nokia n82 and nokia n79.Now I have 5800 XM.In my opinion n82 is better than n79 on camera(especially indor pictures) and in the gps signal,but on design,size,display lightness,and speed I think that N79 is better than n82.Finally,5800 is better than n79 and n82 in all function except camera and n-gage

CDR MJ, 03 Dec 2009How do I use mobile tv on Nokia N79.Can you please suggest.Perhapes you have misunderstood TV out, basically it mean that it'll not allow to play TV channal on ur phone, butit is that function which allowes u view the activities which are being displayed on ur phone screen on a big TV screen such as pic views, widio etc, and for which you will have to perchase the TV out cable

this is indeed a good phone . wifi feature is really best amontg its class, picture quality good but not as expected when zoomed but video quality is really awesome. Haze theme is good . with glossy finish it looks really cool, i updated its firmware to 30.00 and having no problem though i am yet to find a difference with previous version since i have bought just 2 months before. sound is really good but change its earpiece provided with nokia.
its also unique
since its processor is exaclly same as e71 and has quickoffice application too
5 mp camera and video recording at 30 fps not all the phone having .
eradio , fm transmitter, fota capability, n gage application
its music quality is really good and compete with music edition phone
breathing feature , navi wheel feature, faster processor really like e71 and also installed with many applications
but plz dont compare with more costly phone or either pay for them since its serving the application of smart phone and multimedia phone.

I was able to have the privilege of having n82, e63 and n79 all at the same time and use them and choose one at the end..
E63-classy,professional,but lacks good camera or video. (when i went for an outing and forgot my digital camera, im doomed!!)
n82-good build,xenon is so unique & helpful(at dark places), fast system esp. games, but keypads are so small and build is dull and bulky
n79-goes in the middle of n82 and e63. it has the classy, very very nice looks, very clear camera too(but not at night) and smooth video too. If the n82 rocks on camera shots in dark places, the n79 rocks video shots in dark places because of its dual led flash.
The lock/unlock slide is so helpful. And it's cool to do too. I wouldn't trade it for a music button, n-series button, or any button!! haha.
The breathing is wickedly cool. The naviwheel emits light every other second-like it's breathing.
The transition fade effects.... wheeww..
And my latest discovery.. n79 is really a swiss army knife. I installed an application that enables my dual-led flash to be a flash light!! SO bright in dark places.. it's blinding!!! very very helpful.
Only drawback to n79 is it's kinda slow compared to n82 and e63. internal memory is also not that big.
But it's fine for me since I have the best of both worlds with this phone... Good looks+features..
N79 All the way!!!

n79 i buyed
n m very happy.
Its fast
Its symbian(means tons of apps n games)
its ngage
its a big screen
its 2 loud speakers
its navi wheel
its black(black version is best in the three colour options)
and i updated it FOTA(firmware of the air)
FOTA: for indian users who don't generally understand this term. = it means that you update your firmware of mobile using GPRS connectivity offered on mobile by your service provider(vodafone,idea,etc.)
There's an application names SW Checker in the phone(pre-installed) which lets you update FOTA

Also
Using NSU(nokia software updater), n79 can't be updated to the new version. So you have to update using FOTA
Good luck!
NSU: nokia software updater which allows you to download new firmware using PC and then update your firmware by joining your pc and phone by a cable.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2009neeraj : A J N85 camera is way better thn N79 .. iv been using N85 for a year now..N85 cam... moreur sister is not able to use it so cos i have one and i have to say it d best nokia i have had in d last 5 years,i got mine in poland,all do iam liveing in ireland,and i have added garmin to mine as well 09/10
