its a good looking phone
dream dude, 11 Aug 2009Hi guys, i am planning to buy nokia N79. I just have a doubt regarding, to go for which model.... moreHi man,
I would like to share following points as I have E63 for 2-3 months, later changed to N79.
1: E63 is very fast in operation compared with N79.
2: Keypad of E63 is far better. Full set key pad of E63 makes texting easier.
3: For internet browsing and messaging purpose, E63 is better.
4: In N79, u get GPS, 5MP camera and 3.5G
5: For fun and entertainment purpose N79 will be better.
6: If u need a phone with super fast OS without much issues go for E63.
7: Key pad of N79 is bit hard makes texting slower.
I changed to N79, as my E63 showed some network errors. But in N79 also the same problems exists. (it is the problem with network, not with the phone)
i purchased one n 79 i would like to know how it sound recording (both incoming and out going calls) for 30 days with out the knowledge of the present user.
hai i decide to buy N79 is there is batery wake up, is there wi fi is good, is that 5 mega pixel camera is workes well pls send ur answers
i am waiting 4 a true replay

dream dude, 11 Aug 2009Hi guys, i am planning to buy nokia N79. I just have a doubt regarding, to go for which model.... moreI would suggest to go for N79 compare to other proposed model.
Hi guys, i am planning to buy nokia N79. I just have a doubt regarding, to go for which model.... I am having three options:
NOKIA E51
NOKIA N79
NOKIA E63
I have compared all the information regarding these 3 models, and all these models comes to my budget...... I just want to know from all you, just to go for which model out of these 3.... If you see in E series 51 and 63 are doing well. I know that 51 is little bit outdated, but that model still rocks, But some people are posting some bad grade comment for 63. And if you look at N79.... There is been problem in OS.... Because i have already used nokia n73.... After using that phone after 3 months that started to be getting very slow in applications. And i also had problem with themes settings. If you had installed one theme in your mobile, you cant delete it, and also it own support old version (2007) created themes... I just want to know whether these problems will be seen in nokia N79.... I just want help from you people regarding these issues... And also help me to chose, one good model out these 3... I am waiting for commands... Please post your request for my question.... Thank you...
This fone is very nice. I will be getting this one within this year I guess :)
n79 has a VIDEO LIGHT so you can record at Night while n82 doesnt have VIDEO LIGHT, it only have Xenon flash for Night Shots. So I prefer n79 for video and image capture
ASD, 11 Aug 2009It’s time to let you all know what I’ve come to know about my phone till now. Well, I would li... morevery well said!!!!
It’s time to let you all know what I’ve come to know about my phone till now. Well, I would like to say first of all, that at Rs.14,650 I hadn’t expected all these features ever in a phone. So let me start off:
In the box I got Black, Plum and Steel Grey color back covers, N79 set, Travel Charger, Leather Cover, 3.5mm Stereo Headset and a 4GB Micro SD card. And also as this model comes under Nokia N-Theatre in India, so I got a separate 4GB N-Theatre Micro SD card with 5 preloaded movies (Om Shanti Om [Hindi], Jab We Met [Hindi], Jerry Maguire, A Few Good Men and Devil’s Own). The Nokia Micro SD card along with 10 preloaded songs and the phone memory has 15 preloaded N-Gage titles.
The UI is very good. Though after using Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for some time I feel that some options are way too inside other folders rather than just being out in the menu to be easily found and accessed. The GPS is awesome. GPS locking is also faster compared to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which I had been using lately. It also has a preinstalled QuickOffice version 4.1.36.1 along with Adobe PDF viewer. It also has a function called Mobiola Screen Capture through which you can connect your phone to a PC or Laptop and give your presentation through the phone directly.
It also features a Message Reader like the E-series phones. And also a Zip-manager. It has an Oxford Dictionary preinstalled with 2,40,000 words and more can be uploaded. It has a Wavesecure mobile security which I haven’t installed yet. The cam quality is awesome both inside and outside, and by awesome I mean compared to 5800XM. The cam also features geotagging which is quicker than 5800 but I didn’t get the GeoTagged info in the photo even after clicking after the satellite had locked in. Later I got it when seeing the photos on Nokia Photos application on my PC.
The Navi-Wheel is a brilliant addition and gives you a feel of using Apple I-Pod Shuffle. Lovely piece of hardware. Couldn’t use the Wi-Fi till now, or the Net, so can’t comment but should be good to use them.
One problem I’m facing is that the internal memory is very low, especially after they installed the N-Gage games, it was reduced drastically and I can’t find a way to send those N-Gage games to the memory card. I have just 16.3MB of phone memory left to work with and that is a problem. Feeling like deleting all N-Gage games.
The music quality is comparable to 5800 cause of the dual stereo speakers. The FM-Transmitter function is also a good thing and works well within a range of 10 feet.
The keypad is ok to work with, just a mm or 2 smaller for my fingers, but is workable. The battery lasts about a day or day and a half with my average usage. I don’t think that I could want anything else in a phone, but if I’ve missed on some thing about the phone which you would like to know, do write back and let me know.
ive used n82 for 1 year and i thought it would be better to upgrade to n79, i used n79 for a week and its a dissapointment!!! SLOW SLOW SLOW!!! camera doesnt even compare even in bright lights, pictures w/ n79 are noisy, blurred compared to n82.i was using 8gb for my n82 and it was really fast, my n79 only has 4gb and when it got full, it started to hang, get so slow.
one more thing, keypads are very stiff and hard to press, if you are a fast texter, this is not the phone for you, it will slow you down
think twice before buying n79,
