hi,i just got this phone 2 days back and so far i'm liking it a lot, specially the battery life. there's just one problem that im facing as of yet. whenever i turn the camera on, it says that memory full and doesn't turn on anymore. the same thing happens if i try to browse the net. do i need to upgrade the firmware from v11 to v30??? please let me know. thanks!!
If u update the firmware u get lot for ur phone such as latest firmware boosts ur handsets software, accelerometer works fine, cam performance & pic quality gets better, and some software issues rebuild.
No more changes in menu icons and this may be done by firmware builders if they wish....
Why not N79 could be a replacement for N82.
Alway N79 better, latest firmware fix ur bugs and lags occurs little small.
With dual ARM N82 lags lot more but xenon is powerfull for beau pictures.

keypads? its stiff and hard to press, your typing speed will slow down,

I have this phone for 1 week now, and I can truely say it's the best phone I ever had. Battery life is amazing, I can do 4 days with constant texting, occasional photos and even internet and GPS sessions. I paid 304 euro which is a very decent price. The built in music player is comparable with the iPod structure (all tracks, artist, genre, podcasts!!,..) The FM transmitter is nice but doesn't work well in our car (the antenna is on the roof). Overall the best phone for it's price, the GPS is amazingly fast but has no compass (a shame for pedestrian or just overall navigation). The keypad is very good, the keys are easy to press. I did disable the navwheel because it's not comparable with the ipod sensitive wheel and it's rather annoying. Overall score 10/10
If i update my firmware on my N79 will it give me any new applications. Will it change the menu or sum thing?

Before 2 months the price of nokia N79 in india was around Rs.18k. can any one tell me why the price has reduced much? Any feature not present for new N79 phones when compared to the one they released earlier? are they giving Video Connectivity Cable(tv-out) for the new N79 phones?

Camera seems fine although you do have to hold the camera very steady.
I agree that zooming is not brilliant but it zooms in quick enough but takes a few seconds to sharpen the image up... but how often will you zoom in to pictures tho???
I Love it :)
