Nokia N79 - user opinions and reviews

I have been using a Nokia N82 for a long time, infact im using two of these. I want to get the FM transmitter in my phone , is there some way that is possible.Please help me out, iv got a question, the transmitter basically plays the music playing in my phone on the car FM stereo , and similarly can i receive calls via the stereo ?

I just got the N79, *N79-1 /RM-348* after using a 6230i for 3years. things are interesting for me right now...it took me 2days of updates to completely convert from the old phone to the new one... the phone switch via bluetooth is very interesting feature. however after i did a phone back & restore fom the old to the new phone i am set.A few tings that i was looking for the be the same after i swapped phones was my groups and my predictive text settings.however that was not the case.also my saved txt msgs i had to copy over myself...however what is most interesting for me so far.is how many things the phone does that even reading up about it didn't prepare me for.right now i have the youtube and gmail app installed.i have updated the maps and it works fine..i am running 30.019.53.1software revision and so far the most problems i encounter is connecting the wifi b4 using a web aware app. if i dont do that the program hangs.and i guess i will have 2 get used to a black screen for the power saver. So far i am happy and impressed with the handset and i will come back in a month and let you guys know how it works.. i've synced the phone with my media library and most definitely will b using it as my music player.

I'm being using this obile for 6 months now.
I did't find any major problem till now.
Even u can update your mobile software through the wireless internet without cnnecting it to a computer.
No major problem till now.

I purchased n79 just one day ago..
For those who have posted negative review for this set i wana point that its camera is perfectly ok...
no negative about it..you can xpect digi cam functions out of mobile camera.it click photos perfectly upto xpectation in day.its photos are ok if u are not onli dependent on flash lyt...(i have not tested photos in dark lyt). but photos in evening in room widout and wid lyt were also upto mark..
SO NO REGRET ABOUT CAMERA
SECONDLY ABOUT SPEED
phone i purchased in of oldeset version 11.039 and beleive me its not slow..onli thing you have to do is-
1.Switch off theme effects
2.disable autostart of smstimer
3.disable autostart of indisms
i am xpert user of phones used n95,n81,n72,n70,6300,htc and many...so dnt wry about my xpectations or xperience about phones
THIRDLY
SLOW OPENING OF PHOTOS
i have not tested it deeply but i clicked some photos and tried to zoom it ..it was quick..But cant comment for many photos.
But one solution if you are facing this problem is-
DEFRAG YOUR MEMORY CARD USING YOUR COMPUTER AND CARD READER..This will speed up read and write operations from memory card..
ABOUT KEYPAD..
I thinks its of Glass type plastic...BUT NOWAYS ITS CHEAP...its very fine..you will take time to adapt..onli thing is that green and red button are very small..in starting you may press "C" instead of Red button

Hey guys dont hesitate N79.just buy it and update the latest firmware as soon as possible it surely fix ur probs.
Its stereo speakers are really rock u.
For this price any other company(SE,Samsung,Lg......,) can't produce phone with high range features.
In my opinion just wait for 5730 review.

Jr, 31 Jul 2009Im reading this user opinions/review for almost 5 months because Im saving money to buy this p... morehigh there, phone doesnt lag. update ur software n u should be fine. only thing bugs me is tht the back cover makes squicky sounds. rest all music camera n all are excellent. OS is good too.

N79 have 5mp 5800 XM have 3.2mp but if we look the specifications. .5800 XM is bet... moreif u look at specs 5800 is better than n79??? r u crazy? 5800 only has a better screen, nothing else. Just look at n79, 5mpx camera, FM transmitter (awesome feature, trust me), NGage gaming, VoIP, Internet radio, XPress-on accelerator. 5800 is nowhere near N79. 5800 is just midrange, n79 is a high-end device!
