I got my N79 on Friday, and all I can so is that this is the best phone ever! it's awesome and does everything, and does it all very well!
It looks amazing.
I love the keypad, easy to press and no clicking sounds, the navi wheel works well although the dpad itself is a bit stiff.
My last phone was a 6220 classic and was great apart from the case which creaked horribly and buttons were flimsy.
I know it's not the newest phone out there but it looks stunning and works perfectly.
Really happy and couldn't recommend it enough :)

Really i'm baffled @ some of the comments i see here about the nokia n79.pls for those that just bought the phone,use it 4 a little while longer 2 relish it first.i bought mine in january 2009 & it hasnt failed me til date.comparin it wit n82 its definitely smaller & better.camera is very kool & sharp especialy wen taken outside(compared it wit some digicams of 7.2 mp & it was beta)though pics are yellow @ times @ nite(just off flash if dia is extanal lite source,it helps).i also compared some of its features wit dat of n96.apart from n96 screen size & large memory,n79 has a lot more.beta battery life dan n96,has a navi wheel & fm transmitter(not in n96),geotags its piktures,sensitiv & kool self flip screen,comes wit 2 oda covers,& has some other funktions seen on the E series,also u can watch internet tv & more.yeah button is kinda funny but aside that, wat more do u want in a relatively cheap fone?i stand to be corrected though.

I bought it for my wife. She absolutely loved it except for she says that it more of E series(which i use) and it is slow like some else has also mentioned but over all if little slow speed is not a big issue i would recommend it . i too secretly want to take it back from my wife :)

keypads are even hard to press!!!! very very dissapointed, fm transmitter is cool but thats it, i shoulnt have changed from my n82

Very very very disappointed with this phone!!!! i sold my n82 to nuy this phone and ive been using it for 4 days now and i hate it!!! very slow, very very poor camera, wrong move!!!! it has some cool features but over all, hate it!!!!

The other problmem - don't know how to fix it. Ofcourse it may not be a problem.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2009if nokia n 79 is a gud phone?????? i want to buy.. please my friends suggest...I just bought it and trust me its a good phone! The phone feels very well built and it looks absolutely amazing. I use it as my primary music device as I have no mp3 player and I think its sound quality should be good enough for most people. The camera feels the same as my old N78 in terms of picture quality. The only downside is the keypad, which needs some getting used to..this is the best candybar phone out there

Im having a few problems with my n79, so i thought i would update it,but i cant update from version 11.049 :/ i dont know whether this is because i am with vodafone?

Hey ur incoming sms problem, theme settings problem, camera probs and many other problems are based on ur firmware if ur firmware is 11 then just update the 20 or 30 series firmware it will fix all bugs in ur phone even u noticed that ur naviwheel is really fast resposive after this update.
So this is not a major probs dude don't afraid stay cool.

camera is good. only photos taken in night look yellowish (at times). when you take photos outdoor its good.
Hope there will be a firmware update for the music getting played thro headphones.

wenever i switch off the phone n start it again all theme settings gone n set as default theme have to set every time again n again.
if listening music n any sms comes , the sounds goes out of the headphones..
wats this??
