Someone should help me pls. My N79 light display dims after being left unattended to for 5secs. I have to keep on pressing any key to keep the display light on always. Help solve this problem pls.

Has anybody's multimedia key broken off? Also has anybody experienced garmin mobile xt causing the phone to hang?

i bought the n79 a couple of weeks ago and i have to say that it is one of the best phones i have ever used it is extremly user friendly...and probably the most student useable n series phone!

Aswin, 12 Jun 2009So can't we watch live TV in N79 ? ? Can't we record anything ? ? You can not watch live TV by N79 unless you connect to the internet to watch internet live TV, but you can surely watch the videos that you recorded from the camera of the phone. :D

Lately there had been news around the web that the latest firmware (version 30.011) for the N79 has already been released. I have been searching all over the web about this, but I haven't seen even a single screenshot showing the changes that this update brings, unlike in the previous firmware (version 20.175). I just want to ask if there is anyone among you here who have already tried updating their N79 to this latest firmware? Aside from the Ovi Contacts integration stated on the firmware's press release, are there any other notable changes? Does this update change the current icon pack of the N79 to Ovi icons? It's the trend among the latest Nokia devices right now, and it would be great if they also implement that in this latest firmware release. Thanks!

Agm, 12 Jun 2009Mahadev i agree with you for everything that it has got a pretty decent camera,its symbian etc... morewell its hard to believe technically that this phone is slower than n85. What I meant here is that as both the phones are having identical hardware/software configuration there should be no difference in the operating speed unless the firmware version is different.
I am not saying that this is a fast phone, but logically it should be as fast as n85 in normal operations. n85 will obviously has an advantage in gamin because of dedicated chip.

The screen on my nokia has completely packed up, the backlight is on but nothing is shown. It even vibrates when i get a message but i cant look at it:S ive tried everything possible, it is only 6 months old and i dont know what to do.
