Nokia N79 - user opinions and reviews
- No FM transmitter

There are some stupid countries which prohibit the use of any radio transmitting device. Such countries are France, Ireland, Greece, Hong Kong and India I guess. Never buy your N79, as well as N85 from this countries because it is most likely that FM transmitter is stripped off from those phones.

hm, 16 May 2009why in my music folder is missing fm transmiter where can I downloudI dont get it, lots of ppl r reporting that they dont have da fm transmitter. If u dont have it in da music folder, u DONT HAVE da HARDWARE of it! Therefore, nothing u can do. Sorry

i think it`s one of the best mobiles in nokia but the sound in the ring tone not high enough other wise it has 2 exit 4 music

They have exactly the same camera... Need some glasses?? And btw those small buttons look ugly and are useles

hey, 16 May 2009I udapte firmware 20 ... but i cant se eny changes all setings are the sameYes guys i mean firmware 20 is out go get it. And please let m e know the update spec sheet in case you obtain it from some where. Because as such i have not noticed any change except for the video library.

marai, 16 May 2009buy the white one its very unique.This is not a "problem". Its a part of a "solution". Since N79 is a very power hungry phone( Bluetooth, fm transmitter & all connections), Nokia figured that it would b wise that the ENTIRE screen goes out when da phone is not in use in order to conserve as much power as possible. It would have been wise for Nokia to have an option to close this function.

Therefore, it is highly probable that u dont even have the HARDWARE of FM transmitter. Sorry dude.
