there is a gap in this groove in the metallic rim through which bit of light from the flash falls directly on the camera. u can use anything to block it like- small amount of paint or bit of adhesive tape. i have used a little amount of whitener with a pointed brush to block this gap.

U want a high-end phone, but u don't want to pay it.? What r u stupid.? Listen mr naFREAK, u says ure poor, go get a job n fill your lazy tummy first. Dont think about having a fancy phone or anythng for that matter, yet.. U know ure poor, deal with it .. And please, do somethng with your English, for goodness sake..

Improve your N79 picture quality-
many of us r not satisfied with the n79 picture quality in low light conditions while using flash. often we can see a white shadow all over the picture after we shoot a picture with flash. the reason is that stupid nokia has left a very small gap in the metal rim through which the white light of the flash falls directly over the camera lens making the picture worse than expected. now this gap is in the groove between the camera & the lens in the metal rim. so to get rid of the white shadow what u have to do is to fill up this gap with some material. i have used very small bit of white paint to obliterate this groove. now my picture quality is comparable to n82. try this yourself & see the difference. shoot a picture with flash in auto mode & see it from gallery. but be very careful not to damage the camera lens while doing this. I'm not responsible if you damage your camera lens.

Yazi, 07 May 2009Hi, all If some one is planing to purchase any nokia phone i,ll advise. according to your ... moreu must be a joker u call the n70 and n82 the best phone nokia ever made, obviously u never use n79 before, n73 is cool i admit but n70 and n82 sux big time, best smartphone nokia ever made is n73ME, n95 8gb, and n79, But best of the best is nokia n79 no doubt :)

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970lets consider 5800 for a moment. Take away the touch pad, what extra ordinary thing does it have? Almost nothing. It doesnt even support N Gage gaming. N 85 is a good phone too but I would prefer N79. Even though it says that N79 camera is bad, I was able to capture stunning images, both close and far away. If u take away da camera of N79, it still has a touch pad, and a true competitor with da music quality of an iPod! I have tested these results my self and with different sources. It all agrees. So I would prefer N79 rather than 5800 or N85. the rest is upto u.

I really like my N79, video is gr8,camera is gud but sometimes d picture quality is bad of d flash. The pics hav white dots all over if u flash in a big area. Music is awesome. The naviwheel is gud but the d-pad is low so its hard to press. These r ok for me. There's one problem, my nokia dictionnary doesnt work. It said tat d word database is missing. Pls can any1 help me where to install d word database?

rima, 06 May 2009when i swith on my fone my joystic's light does'nt glow but when i go to gallary and exit aft... moreI dont have that problem, light on joystick is always on. Try to update.
