I want to install ovi. maps in my phone...
but nokia does not provide it for n79. can anyone help where can i get it. also am not able to view excel files in my n79. how to do that???/

this is still one of the best s60 symbian nokia phone in the candybar alphanumeric form...better than the newer c5 5mp and e52 e series...best sound, clear pics and better features

itachi, 27 Dec 2011the problem of your fone is its rpl is corrupt.. common problem with bb5 phones......check ime... morehey, the imei number is normal. same as it was before. any other idea?

hey my n79 works for a while when i switch on and after a minute or so the keypad stops working .... i gave to all service centres they ignored to do it since the problem couldnt be solved....any solutions ?????????

kadiven, 19 Dec 2011Hey. i've had my n79 for 2 yrs now, but a prob started. it just goes off in under a minute of... morethe problem of your fone is its rpl is corrupt.. common problem with bb5 phones......check imei and see if the numbers is still showing, press *#06# if it shows question marks only and a number at the end then it is gone, the same if it shows 123456780 for the imei

I am very satisfy with mine Nokia N79 of two years old. It doesn't come out with any problem and never break down EVER (BEST Nokia Device i ever used). It used to do me alot of stuff... viewing docs, listen to nice music throughout its nice stereo speaker... Guess what although i am using LG Optimus Black- A great Android devices, but still i will always carry my old and loyal N79 beside me... for the navigation of OVI maps and Garmin in my car, plus its FM transmitter by letting me listen what i want within its 8GB memory !!! Picture taking is still the best comparing to my LGs with almost same resolutions with its Carls Zeis Tessar Lens !!

My phone suks! its wl switch off once u conect it wit wifi.did software update since then its on only wen charging..any solution guys?

N79 is great mobile ever I use in my life but it my badluck my mobile damage know I have E5 this is also good but not better than N79. You can make Vedio in night by N79. This is great phone ever made by Nokia. That's my thinking.
