Hi to all who own this phone...im from INDIA.
According to nokia,in some countries fm transmitter feature is not avalable.so,is fm transmitter avalable india with this device..?help me guys,cause i want to get this phone tomorrow...

i have buy my n79.this mobile have everything that u want in any phone.gr8 5Mp camera and DVD quality videos made by yourself.beautiful themes display.gr8 sound but with these qualities there r some lose features in n79 which r keypads r too close n make bit disturbance during sms.the usb port and memory card r in same place which is quite in bad position n disturb t
the memory card when u put Ur usb cable.

Im become crazy iv just bought Black N 79 but it doesnt have FM TRANSMITTER.i dont know why is that???

n79 really sucks
it cannot convince me that it is a 5mp camera.. it is the worst 5mp of all Nseries..
believe me!!!
for those who are planning to buy this phone,better think twice...n82 is much better

Only phones that are registered in Euro can be silenced. The other way to get rid of the camera shutter sound is to hack it. But it is very hard as the sound is to prevent upskirts .
Secondly, you can lengthen the backlight by going to settings->personalization-->display-->backlight. to 90secs
Thirdly, n79 rocks

hey i have a nokia n79 and its great, but i only have one problem, sometimes when im writing a text it will say "text message editor already in use" and wont let me send the message. i try and save it into drafts but that doesnt work either. does anyone know how to fix this?

hey. @ all users of n79. im sure u all have the same problems that i face with my fone... the major prob as we know is the backlight.... it goes off after 5 secs... we need to complain to nokia about it. on their website, their forums and also through their nokia software updater... we need a solution to it... so plz.... all of you complain to nokai so that they can get a new firmware put asap that will solve this problem... also complain about the problem of the voive mailbox num,,, it doesnt stay in the fone... it disapperas after a wyl... plz do it for ur own fone... thnx

It's true that phone is a little bit creaky,but I'm perfectly satisfied with it's possibilities,screen quality. Picture quality it's not great,but it's good enough.I didn't regret the money!

today i purchased a N79 canvus white from the mobile store at kolkata for rs 17699. & when i opened the seal of the box to my surprise i have found a TV out cable & a leather carrying pouch (original nokia branded) along with other accessories mentioned here inside the box. I dont know why nokia didnt mention about these in their website.
