Im sure if n79 could transform a car, you would still flaunt the n82 and its camera, xenon flash, etc. Most people who buy the n82 dont even know it has a dual processor or 3d graphics accelerator (nor do they care). The n79 has features that you can actually see in action. There is no way you can compare a 3d graphics accelerator to a fm transmitter.
Plus the difference in pricing between n79 and n82 isnt huge (less than 50 euros). The music on the n79 is far better than n82. Check the audio quality tests on the review and you shall see it comes close to n96, although its a bit less louder than n96.
And for the record, the n79 camera isnt disappointing at all. GSMArena is the only website to complain about it. Most sites say its good and comparable to 6220c with sample pictures posted for proof. Are they all wrong?
N82 is camera centric while n79 is a general all rounder.
So stop trying to spoil the n79 image (and n82 image in the process).

Sure, for the price now N82 is a real bargain (16200 bahts in Thailand = 344 euros), but no way i will buy this monster size TerminaTor phone. N79 looks far more elegant. And the video light is a must, when filming close up bedroom exercise...

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2008The only thing the n82 has over n79 is the better camera, ti omap processor and 3d graphics ac... moren82's advantage of having a so much better camera with a very powerful xenon flash, dual processor and 3d graphics accelerator is more worth it than n79's fm transmitter, naviwheel, better looks, better keypad, better screen and speakers.. look, n79's advantages over n82 are just so minor. and i wont agree at all that n79 has better looks than n82. n79 looks so feminine even if you put a brown or blue back cover on it. the keypad layout and design alone are too stylish for a man's taste. n82 looks so decent especially the black one. and n82 on latest firmware has so much improved sound quality. n82 has the best sound quality among all non-music phones, those that arent equipped with a dedicated audio chip. about the screen, theres a freeware that can be installed on n82 to brighten its screen, no need to spend a lot of money just to buy a new phone with bright screen. n82 is the only phone among all nseries that is justly priced and so much worth it. everything else is overpriced.

n79 doesnt specialize on anything. it has 5mp camera but image quality is disappointing. it has good sound quality but not the best, n96 and even n81 have better sound quality than this. a smarter choice will be n82 now that its cheaper and has the best camera ever on a phone. while n79 is just a n82 copycat but still under par with n82. get the n82, cheaper but better!

Other than that n79 clearly has either the same or better features like fm transmitter, navi-wheel, better looks, better keypad, better screen and speakers, better music quality, newer OS, etc.

The blue back cover comes with the white phone.
The grey has: red, white and brown back colors.
The white has: blue, green and brown back color.
But you might want to check it out, because the options may be different in different countries.

I want to buy N79 which contains Pale Blue back cover. But i don,t know this cover is in which version( i mean in Canvas White or Seal Grey). In my country only Seal Grey is available. So Please somebody confirm me the colour combinations.

N79 also lack 3D Graphic Accelerator. Benchmark test prove it that N82 has better hardware for processing the camera, video decoding, recording and playback. With 3D Graphic Accelerator u can enjoy the 3D or HD Gaming more smoothly.

really like it but out of my price range so i'll wait and see if there's any bugs,flaws,firmware upgrades or defective hardware..

ehsan, 26 Nov 2008my friend I Think nokia n79 better is of n82 what is you opinion thanksdont agree with that, Nokia 2110 is way better than both, N82/N79. Check the Nokia 2110 feature. its my first phone until now, dont have any problem with it.

There are number of posts floods where N82 is tried to get over an N79, I say, come ondudes, both of em are the best. The N79 has better music quality, show me how the N82 does have that kind of SQ?
The N79 handles H.264/MP4 videos more smoother.
The N79 has the same better camrea installment that an N82 does have except for the Xenon flash.
The N79 hasFP 2 rvision 3.2, it has nicer options in uitlities.
N79 comes with OVI.
It comes with 4 GB memory.
The N79 crahses less, hangs less.
The N79 has CHANGEABLE WALLPAER menu which N82 doesnt have.
The N79 is design wise, sizewise, weightwise (!) cool than an N82.
My main concern is the newer the better.
So, agreed with ehsan, N79 is the better, and the N82 is also cool.

perhaps it's better to wait for 1-2 months to buy it,
i myself has been waiting 4 6months to buy n82 complement my m600i, don rush into something new better wait for logic price and stable firmware as fp2 is a new thing. whoever d best may we never regret our buying decision
