and nokia is going to release a lot more back colors for it next year!

but if u want the best overall set go for n79!
and it also depends on how much can u wait bcoz it may take 2 more months for 5800 to be launched!

Bill, 26 Nov 2008I like this phone but I wish they'd make a slider form-factor for it.this phone is already available in slider as n85!
they are unidentical twin wit n85 having 2.6 inch amoled display and dedicated music and gaming keys along with dual slider form!also comes in two colours full black and front black and back cofee!
so go for that!that is yhe best from nokia now!

Hi I was wondering what to get. This or the 5800.
I am a music orientated person but could care less of the 5800's dedicated music keys.
I mean, I like the fact that the 5800 has 8gb of memory with its package, but I could also buy it for the N79. I want to put like 1000 songs in them.
And another reason is the pricing of the phone. Is the n79 going to be cheaper or the 5800? I believe they would be the same price, but the 5800 seems to go past 279 Euros.

I live in Bangladesh!
in my country n79 has not yet been released properly!
they brought 5 79 and i luckily got 1 of them!
and as far as 5800 goes the dealers say it will atleast take 2 more months for the set to come!
remeber Bangladesh as well as India was one of the first promised country where 5800 would have been launched!
and if u ask me; well i was also waitin for 5800!
i went to nokia shop to inquire about the avalability of the set!and there i saw n79!it was love at first sight!
i bought the set the next day!which was the last set in Bangladesh 0f79!(i was so lucky by Allmighty's grace!)they still don't hav n79 in nokia shops.dont know about the smuggled ones.most of the dealers doesn't even recognise n79!
neways i love this set!
all of set i have ever used has always been nokia(including my family member's),but nothing comes close to n79's style performance speed combo!
so it's upto u budy if ur goin to wait approximately 2 months or go for the 2nd best set(second to n85) OF NOKIA!

grey one looks more classy! and white one looks more funky!
but i think the best color combination is grey with white back!
just looks out of the world!
and the maroon looks gr8 too!
the orange one depends upon u!
if u r a rebel lyk me then u can use it too!
i change my cover every 2 days!
but best combo is grey front and white back!(in my opinion!)
so the final verdict goes!
grey(front) looks lyk e series!
white(front) looks like music xpress!
now it's totally upto u buddy!
i hope u get an awesome set and hav gr8 fun with that!

here it goes!(i have done a lot of research on this two phones as i was also in dilemma like u!)
camera:
n82 and n79 has the same module of camera(as mobile-review suggests!)
but gsm arena suggests that n82 has better camera!
i go with mobile-review!
bcoz i have compared both day light pictures of the two!
flash:
xenon of 82 is the best for still photography!but cant be used for video!
but dual led of 79 can shoot videos in the dark!and also very bright!so u can nearlky take good photos in dark!
speed:
nothing beats 85 and 79 in speed!(u can check ne review sites!)
hang and glitches:
i hav this set for almost 3 weeks!not a single time has it ever hanged or sowed down!
both has smae amount of free ram! but 9.3 fp 2 helps 79 alot!
looks!
the n79 looks the best among nseries if not among the whole nokia!and also get 5 color choice including two front colors!(alot of new 1's r also coming!)it is also the slimmest!
keypad!
every one had an issue with d keypad of 82 but n79's is really soft and smooth to type!(i type alot atleast 25 sms a day!huge ones!)
battery:
n79 has much beter talk time and standby time than 82!it also goes for movies,browsing,and video,gps!
weight:
79 is really light!
music quality:
this is one of the best sounding phone both in ear and in speakerphone from nokia(admitted by most of the review sites!)music is clear and crisp and loud!
82 had issues with d loud speakers!
browsing:
is better than 82 because of symbian 9.3!
graphiocs accelerator!
n79 lacks one but 82 has it!
but u woint notice that much difference in a 2.4 inch screen!
fm transmitter:
n79 has one but 82 don't
and finally!
n79 is brand new technology!whereas n82 is an year old!
so it's upto u buddy which to buy!

The 5800 is music oriented phone.
Here comes some issues.
If you are music minded then you must expect some dedicated music keys, the 5800 has it and has the touch-user friendly navigation-build quality is solid etc.
But if you are after camera+phone+Nseries the name then N79 is simply the choice.
Best if you have own em both.
