i have a n70 since april 2006. wonderful phone but I would change it for the n79. still I want to see it live first, also n82 looked great on the web and then you touch it and it is crap
hope that n79 will be no much more than 300 euros by the time I'll buy it

Ye i think all those sad and disappointed N78 users should just shut up and go back to their sad forum. We've had enough of their noise at the N95 forum as well.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N78 doesnt have a target audience. Not agewise or featurewise. It isnt particularly strong featurewise and its design isnt meant for any age-group. Its just a basic all rounder.
Will the disappointed n78 owners stop posting here? You are the people GSMArena was talking about. The design is perfectly normal. It is basically a candybar with n85 functionality because there are some people who dont like sliders. It has better looks than any recent n-series and it doesnt come in black due to fingerprint susceptibility faced in other n-series (except n82 silver).
Dont let theofficial pictures fool you. This phone is actually more silver than white. It looks like a slimmer n82 with a better looking keypad. If you dont like the xpress-on covers, dont bother changing them. The default color is silver.

They should have put the features of N79 into N78's casing. That would have been much better. I personally don't like the design of this phone. The features are okay but the design will be a deal breaker for many, including me.

N79 has the same initial price of N78. N78 looks better. N79 looks so feminine, not just the back color but the design and layout of the keys is so girly.

The people who are dissing this phone are mainly insecure people, people who know they can't afford it, people who realy have no lives, people who have absolutley no sense of fashion and people who dont know much about SymbianS60. Im happy NOKIA made the N79, i was going to go for that ugly N78 which has bad build quality, no accelerometer, no tv-out, and poor keypad! But NOKIA made the N79 which adds and improves on all the things N78 has and doesn't have, atleast now i can retire my N95-1. The N78 seems to be for poor people who dont mind a bad Nseries.

This is a good looking phone but i stick to my N82.There is not much features that makes it better except the OS 9.3 v3.2,but there are minor changes.

This phone has great specs. 5MP camera, TV-Out, video recording at VGA 30FPS, accelerometer, PROPER KEYPAD, and a proper FM Transmitter. Dont worry i dont expect you to know what all that is.

nokia sucks!!!!!! well it does now after it has shown such unacceptable designs after nokia n70!! i love n70's design coz if u r aiming to use a set more than a year or so u shud go with looks and not with the software coz software gets old when a newer set comes but the design claims its demand...!!
