Actually is my main question should you expect a difference in camera performance (both pictures and video) between N79 and 6220 classic, or will they be equal (beside theled or xenonflash of gourse)?

sounds logical.You say videoquality of 6220 classic is poor compared to N 82. Is camera, so picturequality, also much less than N 82 or N 95/N 96 ? I thought the same performance.The GSMArenareview is fully positive on the camera and video of 6220 C. Should we interprete "quit good" however as "reasonable" or "for this size and price?"

About the 15fps vs 30fps. I didnt say there wasnt a difference. I simply said that most people will hardly notice it.
About the e90 vs e71, e71 isnt good for pictures. When you compare e90 with the 6210 navigator, the navigator seems to produce better results, yet e90 seems to have better hardware.
Like i said earlier, the best thing to do is to wait for n79 to come out or at least to wait for a detailed review.

The average user ... moren82 has the best image processing algorithm among all nokia 5mp camera phones. set aside other 5mp camera phones, N82 and N95/8GB are the only two 5mp camera phones that have the same camera specifications, same focal length, same size of lens, except the flash. if you put them head-to-head, n82 produces better pics than n95 even when the xenon flash is turned off because n82's image processing algorithm is much better than N95/8GB. in the case of n82 & n95/8gb having same camera hardware, n82 still beats n95/8gb because it has better software (image processing). in the case of n82 versus n79, n82 will beat n79 hands down since n82 has better camera hardware & software than n79. and even if n79 improves its image processing, it will still NOT catch up with n82 in producing better pics because it lacks the most important thing above anything else, the better hardware.

The average user ... moreoh no! there's a big difference between 15fps and 30fps! the difference is like heaven and earth! just compare the video recorded by n82 and n78, both are of vga resolution with n82 at 30fps & n78 at 15fps. you can see how detailed & clear the motion of the objects in the video at 30fps whereas in 15fps it's blurry! and there is also a big difference in camera lens. n79 has smaller camera lens than n82. just compare the pics taken by 3.2mp camera of e71 with the 3.2mp camera of e90. the quality is miles ahead on e90 which has bigger lens than e71. and compare the video quality of 6220c at 30fps with n82 at the same 30fps. 6220c has poor video quality because of the lack of 3d accelerator. this holds true for n79 also. even if n79 has all the features of a high-end smartphone, it still won't compete with the performance of true high-end devices like n95 & n82 because its hardware has been limited to certain extent only.

According to smape.com, focal length doesnt determine image quality. Its all about the lens and internal processing. Check the n96 review.
Since the n79 isnt in the market and no one has given a review, we dont know much about how it handles imaging. The best thing to do would be to wait.
By the way, n85 and n79 have the same focal length. A review of n85 was done at mobile-review.com and smape.com. They said that its image quality is the same as n82. Same thing was said about the videos and that the 3d accelerator didnt really seem to be of much benefit either.
Maybe symbian fp2 handles imaging and video internal processing better than fp1. Anyway, thats what the experts say.

even if you turn off n82's xenon flash, it will still produce better pics than n79 because n82 has larger camera lens than n79 and has a focal length of 5.7mm. n79 has smaller lens and only 5.45mm focal length. n82 produces better video quality because of its 3d accelerator. n79 has no 3d accelerator that's why its video quality is worse than n82. you think that because n82 and n79 both have 5mp w/ 30fps video they will produce the same picture and video quality? NO!!! n82 will always be better than n79 in terms of picture and video.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2008N79 is much better than N82... Go GO GO N79n82 has better camera than n79 because n82 has larger camera lens than n79 and has xenon flash. n82 has dual processor with 3d accelerator while n79 has single chip processor only, no 3d accelerator either.
