I just got my hands on it last night. Not my choice personally, but I'll presume I'm going to keep it for a bit. Just needed some feedback though. Some phones tend to get slower once you upgrade their memory cards. This comes with a 4 gig card, but I'll need an upgrade to at least an 8. To what extent is that going to affect the speeds of my phone? It's responses aren't immediate right now either.

dexterx, 03 Feb 2010man 5800 is way better than any other phon in its price class n79 does not even.have a touchscreen.Touchscreen doesn't necessarily make 5800XM or any other phone "better" in its respective price range. There will always be people who'd prefer good old-fashioned button input. Besides, I've tried it and found the OS a bit uncomfortable to use, and I'm a Symbian freak. :) Though I concede 5800 looks damn stylish & has awesome audio. Still, I'm quite happier with my N79.Ü
I guess my point is there is no truly overall better or best phone... Each person has his/her own preferences.

Had bought this one earlier in sept 2009 white one but that went kaput after its first visit to Nokia Care Centre for SW update. Though it got faster and better the problems that followed were way too much.....got black version which is much better and is working flawlessly from day 1........but now i am pretty sure of not handing over my set to Nokia Care.....what happened to my perfectly ok phone is something i just can't come terms too till now......

i really need your help.. i just got my n79 last January. the problem is that when i try to open the gallery i cant find the new pictures this month (February). even if i try to open the "Months" option, only the pictures from January is there, the month of January is the only month in there. then i tried to open the "All" option still only the pictures from January. when i try to trace it in the "file manager" option, the recent picture (February)is just there. new pictures cant be added in my gallery. can someone help me.. please...

Hello friends. I've an N79, and i have a complaint. I've updated the software to the latest version. Whenever i try to send messages to more than 100 recipient, the phone doesn't send messages. The messages will remain in the outbox. Can anybody suggest a remedy? Please help.

Hi frnds. when ever my phone hangs up than my power key(switch off-on key) doesn't work, what i have to do just to remove the batry to give it restart, and other sometime while trying to open blu-tooth an error is shown that "unable to perform blu-tooth operation" does any body face such problem? is there any solution to this prob plz let me know. ok thanx and regard

Its a great phone under 15k. Better than 5800 xpress music or even samsung star 3g. The only thing it lacks is the touch screen. 369 Mhz CPU , 128 MB RAM are sufficient for any multitasking. Besides its got a host of features and appplications in its favour. A definite yes for a mid-range multimedia smartphone.
