Anonymous, 07 Jan 2011My friend is returning his n8. He said it's laggy, and it's web browser is frustrating to use... more All this talk of the N8 being laggy I don't understand, as I've not experienced anything significant like that.
The browser is a pain, but it has been fixed now, so your friend could have waited for the fix.
As for removing the battery, why would he need to?
I've read quite a few comments and questions about removing the battery but I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to.

If you want to delete a music file from the phone, better to delete it from music player so that it also gets deleted from the library.

This would remove the deleted songs or if not, just delete the song from the playlist, then refresh after.

My friend is returning his n8. He said it's laggy, and it's web browser is frustrating to use. It froze on him a couple of times already and he said it's a pain to remove the battery. He's looking into getting an andoid phone.

I'm using N8 for 2 month know. I'm pleased with it. Great camera,display and stable os. Yeah it's not eye candy like iOS, or Android, but works fine, and saves battery. With moderate usege(wifi 30min, games 1h, music at least 1h /day) it lasts for 3 days. Try that with the others above. Restarts, dropped calls? never happend. I do experianced one issue though. There are some files that I can't remove from music player playlist. mp3-s are removed from the phone, but still uppear in the playlist. Tried to add & delete them again no luck. Does someone have a solution for that?

this is the best phone ever i bought the phone the first day the phone came out. I am the 5th person who use this phone. Up to date it has not giving me any problem the only problem is there programs, is very hard to get the latest software. Get ONE now

n for u u know n8 as well as wave as well as ne other phone has its own pr9os n cons..i also like nokia phones but dont know y they r coming with so outdated os..
n wave is lil cheaper than n8 but still its equal or better than n8 in many aspects!how samsung has managed to do that?i want nokia to bring a brand new os to its phones..heard about meego hope they will bring it soon so that i can again buy a nokia phone!!but at present wave os is better than n8..but the hardware is obviously good even it is also a new os!i expected much more from nokia..

wave now... moreActually you can install old symbian software from 3rd and 5th editions just fine. A lot of the apps available in ovi store for the N8 are 5th edition apps anyway. The ones that are not available yet will be pretty soon when someone at Nokia has the time to test them for Symbian^3 compatibility.
If you can't wait for them, just download them yourself and try them out.
