Why is my N8 so slow, everytime I need to change my ringtone it gets stuck for an 1/2 hour. Are any setting that i need to do before I through this phone in the bin. orst mistake I ever could have done is to buy a N8.

Nokia high end mobiles r nt have a good battery life..N8 is biggest failure in that way i am using N8 from 15days its poor battery life gives soo disappointing i am very hurt abt..if u put Home screen widget online mode with 3G mode,and big clock screen mode then it standby mode just 8 hours after its died,, If u put that power saving mode it will give other more 4 hours life that it never buy N8 its worst..it should atleast 1500 mAh battery for not bad use..otherwise its a playing kids mobile

people complaining of n8 cam quality are u even aware of the fact that n8 has even replaced a dslr for a magazine shoot... n for video prowess it has shot the movie "the commuter" without the aid of any other camera in just 4 days starring pamela anderson... and even armin van buuren dj in dubai too captured by N8 search it out in youtube noobs... when sgs or iphone achieves such records then boast of ur units till then RIP

i been using nokia for about 8 years now n i always since to be using the most powerful device they have from n80,n90,n95,n900 and now n8 and they really made it big on this device do u guys know u can connect a mouse and keyboard directly to the phone and use it as a pc do u know u can also plug in ur external hard drive and play any movie while waching it on your big screen tv cause it has rca cables and hdmi cable thats pretty amazing also am fm transmitter that work pretty well and also u can use your phone as a modern via bluetooth completely wireless thats only one the few thing u can do with this amazing device

hey guys i tell u a truth. i m in india and what has happened here is when sale of nokia phones go high they start selling nokia models which are made in china. same has happened with n8 as well. now when nokia knew that sale for n8 is going high they have started importing made in china models. there first lot was made in korea and now china phones are in market.. people here, whatever u say i m least bothered coz i have come up with lots of research. u can compare this with any phone. in one hand take the phone which came in first lot and is made in korea and in second take china one and u will get to know th diffrence. now buying n8 is buying a chinese phone. moreover it has same symbian os. though it is updated but doesnt matter much to me. if u keep shit surrounded by perfumes then also it will remain shit. symbian is a shitty os.

Even though it’s a multimedia monster,... moreMusic quality of N8 is not at all bad, It is very good indeed with my earbuds and the equalizer presets. Not all smartphones provide even the equalizer, only few of them provide editable equalizer settings. S^3 music player missed some editing options including Equalizer and Track information. It will more likely be fixed with a new update provided the amount of buzz it has created in Nokia discussions.

The N8 uses Xenon flash for stills but why didn’t you include an LED solution for video?
To get sufficient illumination from an LED solution over a usable distance today, you need to use dual LED. Current generation single LEDs provide little more than a tick box on a spec sheet. Unfortunately, we simply had insufficient space for Dual LED as well as Xenon, the area around the camera is packed very tightly already.
I know some of you will say you’d rather the device was a few mm’s thicker, etc. but it’s very important to balance the design against the functionality, otherwise people will say it’s ugly which will influence its appeal. But we we’re always listening to market feedback and therefore continue to try and develop the perfect solution. But for some, it’s just not possible. In a world of over 6.5 billion people that’s hardly surprising.

(This is the most crucial mistake Nokia has done to N8. Even though it’s a multimedia monster, everything’ll be useless if the quality of Music is poor…) Besides, Music player doesn’t support Custom/manual presets…! (Ridiculous decision from Nokia stupid software Engineers…!)
