If it is a fraction of a second and still noticeable, that is the default responding time. If it too much delay like 5 sec or more you have to worry. Just check the timing in your home screen don't check it in keyboard app or something, they impose an additional delay. The delay in switching mode is nothing to do with the sensor or processing speed, it has been coded in that way intentionally or by mistake. To check your motion sensor download Level and Angle meter from ovi store and check the performance also Download NFS shift and play for some time and see if you get any noticeable delay in motion control. If it present there then that is to do with the sensor, so contact NCC. Don't Check the motion sensor with Drop it or any Hyperkani games because they have a coding error in Using the motion sensor and those game do some weired stuffs time to time.I hope it helps

It happens a lot that the screen is always in vertical position even i hold it in horizontal position. and i need to shake and tilt it again for the screen to change? does the sensor of my phone have defect or is it really the phone defect right from the start?

Any Li-Ion battery will take up some charging-discharging cycles to become stable and exhibit its full capacity. It is obvious that your usage pattern is also not stable when it comes new phone. So Understand you don't have enough experience to comment on the Battery. Another point is when it comes to smart phone you are comparing with 8-12 hours battery life in practice of iPhone or 3-4 hours in evo 4G or 18 hours in desire Vs 36 - 48 hours of N8. Keep that in mind too. About your lagging comment its your own prospective, i feel no lags, but i accept it is not yet fluid as gingerbread or iOS 4, but it will get fixed soon. Note that again the fluidness is enough for the intended purpose of use of the N8. N8 is the well balanced device out there in market for majority of the people, you will be aware of it if you were in touch with Nokia conversation during the N8 development period.

[deleted post]think out of the box buddy, why the hell will I go in here if I do not have it. even my classmate comment that it is slow and ask if do I have many files in it, but the only file I have in it is the 48 songs I got from a friend via bluetooth.
I am here to ask if there were someone have the same problem so if not I can go to nokia care to ask to change it.

I wonder why n97 mini response from vertical position to horizontal position is much faster than n8? is it only my n8 that have this problem? if someone else have the same problem reply here =]].

Even if it is bluetooth 3.0 HS you wont get a speed increase when you connect to a bluetooth 2.1 or so, so better try with another N8

Nokia N8 is a great hardware with a glitchy software running on top of it. There are a gazillion issues that still need to be fixed on software side. With this set of issues, they should be issuing an update every weekend but I dont see this happening, which is pretty disappointing from Nokia's side. Just to give you an example, one of the issue is with N8 software is it's faulty email client. It just doesn't work. I got the Nokia N8 in black, it's very impressive but only to say that because it runs under symbian^3. And it's very fast.
Can somebody here help me understand what exactly "Bluetooth v3" means? Because i've seen other sites say that bluetooth v3 on the n8 has download speeds of up to 25mbps. Really? How comes i'm getting speeds no different from the bluetooth v2.1's?

PHIL, 04 Jan 2011After you have installed hyperX mod; don't use your cam yet. Restart your N8 first and your go... more thanks buddy ;)...i've installed it and my pics are brighter than past.... :D
