Firstly the ... moreWatch out men, samsung has pulled back the update three times because the update is frying the internal memory and most people are regretting for not waiting for nexus S. Why use google maps when you have ovi map? I guess all your other concerns were answered, but if you want to go out of N8 buy a desire (with AMOLED) or nexus S not galaxy S.

if got my n8 three weeks now and still verY happy coming from a sony ericsson satio that i believed to be the best and was happy with it until the nokia n8 and i can truely say this phone work wonders keep it up guys

Learn more hahaha!!!Nice, there are many types of proximity sensors available including infra red proximity sensors, each type of sensor use specific energy range from electro magnetic spectrum, I used the word radio waves to denote the electro magnetic spectrum in a common context since this is not a knowledge based forum.Ya you are right, there are infra red sensors exist and do other frequencies, sorry if my word choice to use radio waves instead of electro magnetic waves confused you.

Hey Guys, If anyone of you here thinking to buy Nokia N8, I would suggest don't even think of it as I have experience that this phone is totally useless. I have been sending it for repair more then 8 times, and my friends too having the same problem. End up it was the BOARD having problem. So it means that Nokia fail on this model, Should consider LG Optimus- New Apps- Better performance.

To all genuine n8 users and potential buyers,
Do you know who are the people that are bashing the N8 here??? They are:
1. Apple iPhone 4 users : They have a gr8 phone but as soon as they hold it "IN" their hands, the network goes "OUT" of the phone. They have bought an expensive but stale apple.
2. GalaxyS users: They thought that if they have a galaxy, they have everything. But forgot that no "galaxy" can be bigger than the universe. And yes adding prefix 'super' to anything doesn't mean it is better
3. Wave users: What to say about them. Their phone is good for nothing. They wasted their money on a toy phone. Hats off to these idiots.

I am not agains nokia...I used Nokia N72 for a long time nd I was happy wid it...But wht about N8...I am vry much angry as after spending 24K, I m not able to use the mobile for 20 days....I am a common man..My surname is not Tata or Birla....The decision to buy a Nokia was the worst decision I ever made.....I don't need to tell nything to anybody about N8..., if sombody go for it,will come to know dat I am right.....
