in n8 missing modifiable equalizer settings thats the reason sound is not that great compare to x6 ,,,hope should get in firmware update ,,,,,,,,

Nokia N8 can be coonected to HD TV through HDMI cable. My question is can it also be connected to a normal TV?
I have Nokia N95 and it has a TV out cable which I use to see its videos on normal TV. That cable is plugged in the audio out point of Nokia N95. Can we use the same cable with Nokia N8 to see its video on normal (non-HD) TV?

this morning i can't tutn on my nokia n8
but thank god i plug in the charge and its work
its strange, because i am charging it for 2 hour last night
and i am doing software updates from my n8
suddenly all the things became normal
- now its easily open music player and photo with just one click..
before i am updating that two is really imposibble to open, even make my unit hang
maybe i came to nokia care centre this afternoon just to make sure everything ok
well glad to see this is work..
so its just software problem maybe..?
anyone experience the same..?

Why are you keep bashing and posting full of negative comments to Nokia N8? While other phones also experiencing same problems (or even worse), you should do is help solving these problems, and not making it worse.

[deleted post]please do a modding of video player with an ability to zoom hd videos, slideshow features in photo with at least 24 transition effects or more, music player with several equalizer presets. a mod that could increase the brightness of the amoled screen of n8, better ui interface speed with increase pages at least 8 like sgs!!!improved messaging conversation, support more themes and icons( i noticed my n8 didnot support some icons and it appeared black on the screen yet the theme was said to be s^3 compatible)

Can any one suggest in Nokia N8 , how to correct the problem it gives to dial PSTN no. which has repeated no. in beginning like 22******,4456748, 55****,66********, like In Nepal, when we dial any Kathmandu land line no. 014423678....it won't dial. Nokia Service center gave to give any solution till Nokia provide New Firmware for this model.

Tha... morejust download the format factory software onto ur pc..and in the output settings u can select ur phone..it will automatically select the best settings..and for the Subtitles u can hardsub them with this software and u wnt need any player to play them on your phn...i use it all the time..

Just purchased a N8 and VERY happy with it. Far superior to the iPhone in screen quality and camera.
Very impressed so far, I also find the web browser not too bad at all!!

I've gone and got myself a Nokia. This is perhaps the worst decision I've ever made. This phone can't do the most basic things a modern phone should do. That is being easy to use. Everything, and I meen everything is to complicated to do. Even placing a call. Nokia has clearly no idea what so ever what the competition is doing and has no idea how to improve their position. This is not the worst thing. My phone is shutting off by it self. Shame on you Nokia.

Im been using dads N8 for some time and now own N8 for couple of days.
I'm very happy whit the phone :) It's a great multimedia phone with excellent built quality. I specially like about customizing the phone, I loaded a nice theme from Ovi called SPBGreen(even the keyboard became better) and different homescreens gives me information such as weather forecast, publictransport timetables, fb, news, and emails.
The phone feels great in hand, camera is spectacular(whit great editing features) and I think Ovi Store works well on S^3 offering many handy apps. Multitasking is working well.
Cons for the phone are text input and poor web browser. You can live whit them, but I hope that update, hopefully in january, will fix them.
Nowdays everything in phone industry is compared to iPhone - N8 is better to hold in hand than iPhone4 and homescreens are able to give you much more information than the icon table on iPhone. Otherwise N8 is cheaper but S^3 is maybe not SO easy to use. A plus for me is that you don't have to use iTunes to import music to a Nokia.
