love my 2nd revision Nokia N8! No power management issues and those Finnish engineers think of everything! Superb device. Especially when you connect it to my wireless router. If by some miracle the connection is not lost and I can actually use the phone, after a while the whole wireless network crashes. I have to disconnect the N8 to make the network work again but wait, thesh moa! The N8 keeps on reconnecting on its own every time (yes I disabled everything including the goddamn widgets)! I have to be related to FLASH the superhero in order to disconnect the N8 from the network, click quickly into destinations and delete the access point. Another interesting feature, courtesy by Nokia, is the blank screen! Multi tasking between apps and you end up with one app hanging, giving you a blank screen with no display but a lovely light around the menu button. 3/5 the phone returns to normal but the other 2 you need to switch it off.
It makes me cringe that my stupid iPhone 4 has none of these issues. Everything works flawlessly with the damn thing!! I've yet to encounter the multitude of problems described on the internet when it comes to the iPhone 4. I've, also, yet to encounter the lovely N8 experience illustrated in every review out there, including the GSMARENA one.
I noticed another problem. The music widget has stopped working. It fails to show the little thumbnail, play menu and track. It is empty now and asks me to click to go to my music library. This happens when music is playing in the background. I wonder what else will break by New Year's ...
Flawed and unfinished product. Pics and games work tho! I did not buy the phone just for that ...

Why so serious, people? Sure the N8 is a great phone and I LOVE mine. But is any phone worth all this blood pressure increase? Doubt there's an app to remedy that. If you have a N8 enjoy it. If you dont then move along.

Don't listen to N8 haters, Beleived me N8 is really great phone and really smooth responsvie with no hang and laggy.. Camera Superb brilliant,HD GAMES its really awesome..

[deleted post]Hi man,u r lucky to get refund ! I bought it 4m mobile store so couldnt get new phn ! My new phn was restarting,1st replacement also had problems with loudspeaker and then it was turned off itself n never switched on again !

concern citizen, 28 Dec 2010this blog open to everyone.. im a n8 customer b4, i got my refund. people have the right to know.. all lame facts u never owned an n8... an n8 owner never bashes an n8 so much.. so keep the lies to urself it would be better... u owned an n8 right?? upto what limit can it support a fat32 system with usb on the go?? and tell me whats the xact size of nfs shift hd!!!

i know n8 is a gud phone.i respect that.but how come there are complaints of n8? whether in small numbers or in big numbers.i know nokia will replace it with a new one, but it is only limited for a week. my suggestion to nokia company, is that they shud replace the defective phone even it lapses 7days rather than repair it and wait for parts to come..they should also recall the defective batch in order to protect future buyers. its their fault selling defective units , not the customer. the customers are always right..

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2010i dont know why u guys say like this but i always have good response from nokia care... nokia ... morewell my last three nokia phones bought from india went dead within the last month or 2 of the warranty period...n nokia care just kept givin excuses till the date actuaaly ran out ..n then they raised their hands up denyin me of any further support ...i still have a nokia n86 bought from saudi it works marvelously ...n for me i have always liked nokia ..its one of the best out there ...

[deleted post]ios is derived from mac os which is a true desktop and tablet os. symbian is a lightweight os that is just programmed in c++.

Ihave n86 having this problem...i cant play flv or avi or wmv....n86 play about 5% of flv files only...and i dont want to hack my phone or flash it
IS N8 play all formats like wm phones
