What ?? NO support for VPN on Symbian^3 ?? I thought Nokia wanted these phones to be " World Class " business AND multimedia phones. Like this phone but Will Not buy it until a VPN is available either from Nokia or third party.

New phn-restarting problem
1st replacement-loudspeaker stopped working
2nd replacement-switched off automatically n never turned on again !
U r wrong ! Most of the users experiencing problems,very few r lucky !

sukrsa, 25 Dec 2010I have downloaded many applications, games, photo etc. from OVI store through wifi connection.... moredude if you have fast lan, download the apps to your notebook itself. Login to the ovi site download them and connect you cell, they'll be installed on your cell from your laptop...

I have been using the N8 since two weeks.
It is an excellent all-rounder in all respects, with the strong points being:
1. The camera
2. The integrated GPS - I managed a fix using just the integrated GPS in 7 minutes from a cold start, and in 1-2 minutes or less thereafter.
The features a did not like were:
1. The xenon flash - it is not half as strong as that included in the N82. The N82 takes better pics in the dark using the flash.
2. Lack of GPS status software, which used to show the actual GPS data itself, including the number of satellites available etc.

i bought n8 3 days back.this is true review from my usage.
the phone is excellent in all part except the battery.battery will drain full in a day usage.
camera is awesome in all ways.the display is good even in full sunlight.the voice clarity is good during calls..
the touch screen is having good sensitivity.
whatever im true happy to own this phone..
no regrets at all..
whatever i bought a true perfomrmer of nokia at 24k in
india.
im a true phone crazy user and used my friends sony satio,xperia,samsung wave,n97.....comparing all those nokia n8 is way better...even though it is symbian,the phone have enough fun facotr with its unlimited ovi store applications and functions....
wise buy i think as n8 is durable for a long run

[deleted post]I own a samsung wave. I have an N8 too. Used it.. its really great, although the OS looks very pale.
N8 does quite a good job, but I am more addicted to Wave... I finally gave my N8 to my bro. He loves the looks of N8 (never used N8). I love the looks too. and the camera.
Dunno how he will like it after using.

from the beginning itself i am a nokia user and i am so unhappy about the N8 performance.... it not upto tthe mart as it is costing more that what we are expecting.... frnds go for the samsung wave or galaxy....

my n8 has had 2 trips to nokia care center, and is still there for waiting for parts. the brick freezes endlessly, turns itself off never to turn on again. why o why nokia did you let this unfinished project out into the market.

I have downloaded many applications, games, photo etc. from OVI store through wifi connection. I do not know how to download through other connection like LAN etc. Because, if I do not have wifi/3G/GPRS connection but I am having very fast LAN, am I able to download from OVI store by connecting N8 to Notebook through OVI suit?
