AnGel, 11 Dec 2010Guys the phone is a blessing to the old nokia phone users.No doubt about that. But my complain... moreI've had problems on a single download from probably hundreds and even then a message to OVI support fixed things in under an hour.
You most likely have some other serious problem and even then, if you can't download something you have paid for its stupid to buy it again, just contact support.

Guys the phone is a blessing to the old nokia phone users.No doubt about that. But my complain is about the OVI software market.I tried to download the paid games.Trust me guys.Its a mess,that u do not want to see again.U can never be successful to download any software/games in first attempt(paid one). Either they will ahow download error or installation error.Even if u decide to check out the billing option as from your phones bill, u might not b able to succeed in one time(it took me 3 times to pay successfully for a software called blacklist in OVI).Which means i was charged 3times(£9.30) in order to download a single software.tried to download Apsault 5, for £, but did not succeed, as all my 10 attempts to download failed(as u can not download a paid anything for more than 10 times). SO guys , u r the judge to say they made a nice(not perfect) hardware after a so long time, but looks like they have they have their excuses ready again.this time its Meego.Trying to make the next one as the best one, has left their software development for Symbian3 is really miserable.
trust me. Even iPHONE's payment system is way better.

the camera is really excellent. the Music is the best compared to other Nokia phones but still see this can be improved bos does not give any difference in various modes of Equaliser. When using the Qwerty Key Pad for SMS it gets difficult if u r hearing to a song or u r on a call in the head phones bcos the Pin comes in-between, the position of the pin should have been the other side. The vedio performance is excellent and the HDMI connection works best. I have not tried much on games. Menu is very good and easily navigable

I really love this phone ! I will go to the nokia care
but I dont want to replace it I will tell them to
repair itz speaker ! Some things r really annoying
like,only 2 or 3 good themes r there in ovi store !
Can any1 tell me how to sign the games ? Have u
got the sis file when u downloaded REAL FOOTBALL 2010HD from ovi ?

-Camera
-amazing GPS & OVI Maps vs. badly bugged GPS
-Pentaband added to OVI Maps, I can travel anywhere
-Nokia has lot better SW update policies, Samsung has pretty much the worst reputation out there
-HDMI lot more useful than DLNA (+dlna can be added with SW)
-USB OTG - love this feature
-Games run smoother on N8
-I don't have to share my life with Google
-N8 has a beautiful design
While stunning display on most cases, the RGBG pentile has several cases where it doesn't look quite right. For example black on white text looks too fuzzy to me.
The one point for me to choose Galaxy S would be the browser, however I'm hoping the next N8 update will fix that.

I agree that Wave is also a good device with respect to screen, processor etc., but N8 is even better with regards to camera, HDMI, USB OTG etc., One of my friends own a Wave and I own a N8. We just swapped the phones for few days. Now he is kinda started liking my N8.

I totally agree other proud owners of N8. I bought this phone around 3 days ago and installed many apps and loaded the internal and memory card with tons of music but still don't see any lags or freezes. By far this is the best gadget that one can ever have. Love N8.

* Ovi Maps w free drive instructions;
* FM transmitter;
* Unlimited music downloads w Ovi Music;
* better build quality (i've seen my friends Galaxy S with severe scratches on the plastic, who likes that, hell who likes plastic anyway?)
* HDMI out;
Simply put, your claim has no basis whatsoever, or perhaps you'd like to clarify exactly what is Galaxy S better at, would be interesting to hear.

Have been using the N8, mine's silver btw, for over a month now. I can honestly say that it is a very good device indeed. Photos and HD video are simply superb. HD games are absolutely perfect. Web browsing with Opera 10.1 is nice (hopefully Nokia updates the native browser as well). Mail synchronization is simply perfect! Free Ovi Maps is a must. And i also like the music player and the FM transmitter. So indeed i got what i wanted from the device:
* Superb camera;
* Godd web browsing w Opera;
* Very good mail sync;
* Superb drive by instructions w Ovi Maps;
* Superb music playback;
* Superb build quality of the device;
On the negative side the Symbian 3 is not as polished (touch and feel) as the rivals, Android and iOS, especially iOS. I sincerely hope that Nokia has enough sense to put every bit of effort to updating the UI, because everything else is simply amazing. But still, good work Nokia for bringing this beautiful device to the market. Hope you will update the Symbian's UI as well!
