I em owner of N5800xm and N97mini, and i have try a bit this model phone N8, it's rough phone, it's good hardware shielded with ugly combination metal and both plastic ends, and it's not phone for gentleman but rather for rough environments and kids, so the c7 is much better than this for sure, and N97mini is still much better than this two phones.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2010Ey Guys, Is there Syimbian^4 update for this phone? but if there is how come in wiki, it says ... moresymbian3 and 4 is no more
as of october when noki reclaimed symbian again they just turned it back to a full OS symbianOS which is what it`s called now
so those 50 things that we saw and liked in symbian4 will be on firmware updates in the near future on the new symbianOS touch devices
Hello all out there! I want you to know that Nokia N8 doesn't make pictures THAT good! I have one for 4 days now and believe me, I had SE Satio, N82, and N8 isn't better then Satio. I thought it would be, but it isn't, maybe in daylight conditions shooting a close object max 3 meters. HD movies are not that good like I expected! But overall it's a good phone with good battery life.
Ey Guys, Is there Syimbian^4 update for this phone? but if there is how come in wiki, it says that Symbian^4 is dicontinued or cancelled? Or my country's wiki is outdated? LOL, but check it out at wiki for "Symbian Platform", maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm not

I have had numeroius Nokias, our whole family has used all kinds of Nokia so we know about their phones. Yes, the proprietary OS is fine but when it comes to Symbian, especially with the N97 - TOTAL CRAP! The worst phone (not a smartphone!) I have ever had. I am leaving Nokia and its outdated Symbian for Android! Period!
Krisitna, 05 Dec 2010Hello ,please help me now because my N8 frozen and doesnt work at all thecharger working an... moreJust go onto the Nokia website an you will see the Repair Section an put in your fault,an Nokia will then tell you were to take or send your phone to them as your N8 as a 2 year warranty with Nokia,my speakers have gone crackly an i am waiting for a email back from Nokia Care telling me when they are going to collect my N8 to get it working o.k again,or call Nokia Care on 08450455555 Monday-Friday
does anyone know when the update is coming for symbian 3
I was told
dec 10th and now i'm seeing dec 15th
i hope it's the 10th cause that's when the E7 comes out and nokia as even made it public that the update will be available on that same date
You have to realize that Nokia will always be the first company! No one can overwhelm her cause their phones are very reliable compare to others!
As a mobile seller i know that cause all the people ask me for nokia first , symbian is very easy cause nokia insert it to her phones slowly and everyone knows it.
I have customers that have e66 or 6730 and they dont even know that these are smartphones...the dont care, plus the most of the customers only want email solution ( read only) and internet explorer ( they dont care how fast it is ).

I don't know what picture you're looking at. Maybe the virtual one you have in your bathroom, but nokia is still on top and is showing no signs of a change.
What are you doing on the n8 page? Nokias generate half the traffic on this site! I won't be surprised if they sell more n8s and c6-01s than all htc phones combined this year. Wake up and smell the coffee. The king is back!
the best phone is 2 yougourt joined with a line...and it works, no need battery.
Previous comment below said nokia e71 was the last best phone they made, that is correct, this n8 wont come close. If nokia wants to walk in the touch screen world, they should come prepared, but sometimes it takes mistakes to improve.
Anonymous, 05 Dec 2010I have an X10 and a Galaxy S Captivate.
If you want eye candy and an Android that doesn't ... moreSamsung has always been crappy on software updates, Galaxy S owners cant come afterwards and pretend they didnt know. They get what they wanted, they had it coming when dealing with a company who uses monkeys and ret@rded kids for programmers.
HTC has excellent programmers and updates, thats the way to look now when nokia is so far behind. Build quality is impressive as well, can handle a fall or 5. I think SE will be a good brand again in 2011 also. Nokia just have to wait til meego is ready before they can come back in the picture.
I had my Nokia N8 for 36 hours before i gave it for replacement due to faulty headphone connector. Something is wrong with this phone. There were delays in launching the phone as well. i think everybody who has not bought this phone should wait until these things get sorted and then buy it, no phone can match this one if it worked fine. ONE DAY IT WILL. so guys wait for it or by then we will get the E7.
Anonymous, 05 Dec 2010good suggestion mate... Loved it really.I just find it disturbing that most people who touts their cellphones as the best in the market are not ready to admit and point out the imperfections and faults of their phones. Yes, I'm looking at you, fandroids. No phone is perfect. It all boils down on how the end user utilizes their phone and how they integrate that technology into their lives.
