Anonymous, 05 Dec 2010good suggestion mate... Loved it really.I just find it disturbing that most people who touts their cellphones as the best in the market are not ready to admit and point out the imperfections and faults of their phones. Yes, I'm looking at you, fandroids. No phone is perfect. It all boils down on how the end user utilizes their phone and how they integrate that technology into their lives.
the last good phone nokia has made is E71.really good device without hesitation.but since then they lost their advantage and rely only on the inertia of the habbit and loyal blind fans.....
nbillah_dhaka_bangla, 05 Dec 2010very poor phone considering it's price. Xperia x10 is much much better as a smartphone than n8... moreI have an X10 and a Galaxy S Captivate.
If you want eye candy and an Android that doesn't look like Android then go for the X10 but be aware that the phone is not running to its full potential. I mean Sony is kinda holding back on its features although its perfectly capable of it. It's missing multitouch and 16M colors and the Eclair update took months and doesn't include those features. We would be lucky if we would get Froyo. Sony is really slow on their updates and they are already working on their next phone but not on getting the X10 reach its full potential.
If you want a gorgeous screen and have a lot of videos/ pictures to show off then go for the Galaxy S. The screen is really good and it have a fast processor but it's a bit laggy and you will have to tinker with a lot of settings, hack it, and root it to get the thing running optimized. Like I said before, I cannot recommend the Galaxy S to non- geeks. It requires a lot of tweaks and stuff and the fixes/hacks are not from Samsung but from the Galaxy S community. Samsung's Froyo update has been out for months now but my local carrier is still not done modifying/raping it and I'm still waiting.
If you want battery life that lasts for days, excellent pictures, a reliable hardware that will survive drops and last for years with a great AMOLED screen, then go for the N8.
been using my n8 for 3 weeks now and no issue yet..just one restart thats when i pushed my n8 to its limit by multitasking 31 apps. Loving it :)

Dino, 05 Dec 2010Hey people, just wanted 2 know ur opinions about which phone is the best nokia n8 or samusung ... moreHi,
Go for the samsung galaxy s, cus android has more than one million apps, which you find useful in your daily life.
If you dont want to use apps and use phone only for listening music, taking pictures, watching videos, email and chat then go for N8
I was also a nokia fan once but after purchase of N97 I changed my mind
I don't have much experence with Galaxy S, I'm sure it has some things where it wins N8, but it also works other way around.
But as amongst the first N8 owners (got it the same day they shipped out of the factories), I would not take my money back if I could. I'm very, very satisfied with the purchase! No phone is perfect, there are downsides in the N8 too, naturally. The software has a few things that could be improved, but I'm sure those will come with time, but overall speaking the software is in a good shape. The slogal "It's not technology, it's what you do with it" is pretty spot on, the Symbian^3 is capable to ALOT with stuff like USB OTG.
The OS isnt the user friendliest, but that's also cos it has the most capabilities. People complain about Symbians "endless menus and taps" compared to iPhone, but that's a no-brainer. The iPhone also has way less capabilities of doing stuff, you simply can't fit lots of options just under one tap if it wont even open a menu.
Either way, I really, REALLY recommend this phone. Naturally try to make some research on which phone would suit ur needs better. The SGS is a good phone, so is the N8.
Hey people, just wanted 2 know ur opinions about which phone is the best nokia n8 or samusung galaxy s........since i m not that cell savy but would really appreciate if u share ur reveiws if u r using any one of these phones.......txs

all data ll b lost ? Loudspeaker stoppe... morereseting to factory setting, also known as soft reset isnt as nasty as a hard reset. When you reset to factory setting, you will not lose data on your phone memory such as contacts and installed apps. But make back up first on ur pc just in case. Think of it as a pc reset.
More info here.
