n8's resolusion is better that wave and galaxy s??wtf???????????r u mad??
50mb games r lagging in n8 while 300 mb games r running on wave flawlessly!what the use of so called "vram"??n u r calling it a better gaming device hahaha:d
n wave has better processor ram battery but still it's size is not bigger than n8..even galaxy s is not bigger although it has 4" screen..
n do u know y n8 doesnt have high ram n latest proc?? its not that n8 dosnt need that..bcz n8 cant afford to have latest processor bcz of symbian!!the most ugly looking os ever!!

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2010Nokia N8 has a low RAM 256mb,slow processor 680mhz,low pixel display 360x640..this phone shoul... moreAs long as a phone & the OS is efficiently run then a 680mhz processor will be more than enough, going by reviews both the phone and the OS can handle mostly everything at least reasonably well and other things exceptionally well.
Also there's not many a phone out there which can capture 12mp photos with xenon flash and capture HD video with stereo sound and have HDMI out, USB on the go, FM transmitter, Bluetooth 3.0, Dolby Digital, DivX playback, front facing camera, Gorilla glass and 16GB storage all rolled into one.
Your logic is flawed there is no phone in this World which could have done all of the above two years ago and there's not many a phone which can do all the above now.

-Android is so heavy, N8 is better for gaming device than any current Android device.
-S^3 can use VRAM so actually N8 can use RAM up to 1GB. No Android/iOS device can do that.
-The 640x360 display actually has better red pixel resolution and blue pixel resolution than Galaxy S or Wave.
It also can output HD quality video, has USB OTG, Great camera, best customizability (well, after N900), Camera that is so far ahead others its ridiculous etc.
Most manufacturers just solder components together and compete on spec sheets. Nokia actually designs phones by balancing the overall experience.
You can put in the fastest processor and end up with huge space eating heat sink, large battery and bad CPU lifetime or you can create efficient OS and use all that for something better.

for those unhappy about camera n video, u r probably capturing at lower res. you have the option to change resolution. i m having this phone for a few weeks now, and i am simply loving it.

As a matter of fact, if you do a straight test with the HTC Desire HD, iPhone 4 and Galaxy S, I think you'll find that the sound quality and volume is superior in every way.
And if you do get a chance to playback a High Definition video (720 fps) on both the N8 and S-LCD based Desire HD I think you'll retract your comment regarding the N8's alledged inferior screen, because it's running standard OLED technology.

And nokia doesnt give a shit about me.

same goes with iphone4, where they say that reception prob is fixed with the software update (making calls is very basic) android 2.1 to 2.2 (2.1 cant install apps on SD card, which is one of the basic things in a smartphone)

well i have been a symbian user from the start so the UI is familiar to me.

audio and volume CAN be improved through software update. Nokia has been providing better audio and volume through software updates, the latest is the nokia X2. (i think)

all of the games use the GPU. the reason why gameloft games are slow cause gameloft are lazy to properly port the game to symbian^3 platform. If NFS shift, angry birds, galaxy on fire and rally master pro can run smoothly on the symbian^3 platform, why not gameloft games? Is all about the willingness of the developer to port and code it properly.

I was about to buy this phone at NOkia. i am already a user of n82. After I Tried the camera its good but I'm not overwhelmed. Focussing is fast. The lady said the xenon didnt flash so we tried again with flash. N82 wins. I end up not buying.

Cpu is coupled with a great GPU so the smoothness is there, web browser will be improved a lot in the next update. UI and screen doesnt bother me much, as long i can use it, it's fine with me. Just one restart with my unit. Resolution produces a 16:9 ratio, great for viewing vids.

Man you really do hate the ... moreactually u r getting the features good camera,fm transmitter,usb otg and hdmi but loosing many thingws like smoothness,good sound quality,ability to play hd games smoothly,bogus web browser,ugly looking ui,slower processor,low ram,no s-lcd or samoled or clear black disp[play n low resolusion screen plus u will b having hanging n restarting problems..y nokia just trying to decorate a old house with good quality furniture!i always used nokia..but now after changin 2 othr brand opened my eyes..y other brands using higher res screen,latest proc,higher ram etc?? for smoothness n usability..so i m in search of a good nokia phone that will give me all that and i can again buy a nokia phone..
