Hope we do get a new software update before xmas for the N8,an now my battery as started dropping without using anything much,an hope the Ovi downloads are not causing this top happen,so i have now uninstalled all the downloads from the ovi store,i will contact Nokia Care if this keeps stopping me from using my N8 fully,an see what they say is causing this to happen

hi i would ask you guys to refrain from buying the n8 for about 2 more months i have the n8 and i had to send it to nokia care 20 days outta the box therea are mother board or some engineering issues with the phone.......anyways its your money but im doin my part by warning you guys..i use to come here every day and abuse trollers and aother pple complaining about the phone and now im suffering....nokia is looking into the matter but its not yet solved.....

gitty, 29 Nov 2010when headset remote stops working,just remove the headset and put it again, go to setting-wlan... moreThanks for the help, I went to nokia care and they found the headphone to be a hardware problem and so they are going to replace it. I had bought 2 n8 together and only after 2 days have given it back, just dont feel good about it. Let's hope my excitement stays till it comes back. I will surely try all your wifi suggestions if I face any problem. But one thing is for sure I love the phone and am going to stick to it no matter what.

Ya Buddy thats true. frankly speaking I too dont like to purchase this mobile. but what to do after wasting this much money on this.. I shud support as it is the best. :-(

It freezes suddenly and without warning or anything and to make the matter worse when it silently freeze you won't hear or notice any phone rings if someone calls you or sms you but the other person will hear ringing and assume you don't want to pick the call or you are ignoring..
