Bought my N8!
Hardware - Awesome! Best in the industry.
Software - Web browser lags, portrait qwerty board is necessary.
This is coming in firmware update soon which influenced me buy this phone! Hope to get WiFi Direct as well.
It is several times faster than my previous phones.

Nokia still has nonsense crap applications on the ovi store.... QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF APPS RESULTS TO MUCH HIGHER DOWNLOADS... when there are only very few apps downloadables? here in the philippines you cant even buy and download some games or apps. crap nokia. and to tell you apps are country specific meaning you cant download for example Angry Birds in philippines but you can download it from finland. unlike android market and apple app store which doesnt mind where you are in the world.

Upgraded my e71 to this beautiful device and oh boy, this device rocks. Been using it for two weeks now and no serious problems so far. Of course I did a hard reset and the ovi store problem but that will be fixed in PR1.1 in couple of weeks. Generally speaking n8 is a real smartphone with addition of super camera, UTG, hdmi out, etc. a must buy. Im loving mine.

Even in PC, saving and editing 4000x3000px images is taking a little slow and editing 720p videos takes time. What more in a mobile phone? Everybody please know your device capability so that you won't be disappointed in trying to do something unattainable.

Not everyone ... moreDoes anyone know how to sort this missing certificate problem out with my music downloaded from ovi store? I mean i'd hate to lose all the music i downloaded as it says that my 5800 isn't the unlimited music phone. Well like duh! I dont have my n8 but still want to listen to my music on the go.
Is there a hack or software that i can use to defeat this? Someone, anyone?

Anyway, you know that I'm a regular here and to tell you the truth, i could tell you stories and then you'd class me as a spammer too? LOL!! Anyway, you can consider youself lucky, i'm not. I love the n8 and no other phone would ever come close for now.

Our telecommunications company has issued a warning to all channels asking them to power on the N8 after point of sale but before the customer leaves the store. This is because a high number of handsets have been reported DOA.
So I implore you, if you plan to purchase this handset, PLEASE open up the box and make sure it works before you leave the premises. IF you leave the premises and the phone is DOA, the store can only follow standard warranty procedure ie sending it away to be assessed.
