I WOULD LOVE TO GO FULLY PORTABLE BUT JUST LOOK AT TODAYS SLABS THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE A PHONE.

But skyfire didn't slow down sites where has flash advertising, almost every sites nowdays. there's so much rubbish flash stuff to slowdown your phones, i like flash on my pc which handled it perfectly, every flash stuffs run very smoothly.
That skyfire is very good way to handle flash stuff, i would like to get little videoplayer from flash, but there's no use for all flash stuff on mobile for most of people.
little not heavy videoplayer would be very good option.

The app actually had to be pulled out from app store cause users who downloaded and used it (the paid USD2.99 for it) were actually overloading the skyfire servers . That just shows that other iphone users want flash as badly as other people.

[deleted post]"Iphone does not support even the basic things like flash"
And we all know how "well" it runs on N8 :) So flash is good? but almost every N8 user says turn off the flash, of course it is laggy and run out your battery because you using flash.
i still have no clue why this flash is so important to nokia people, i think the reason is because iphone dont have it, i used iphone 1,5 year and i almost never had situation where i needed flash and now with WP7 still dont need it, everyday is less sites/video sites which need flash and that's good! we can all watch smooth videos without thinking this video could run smooth or not.
just yesterday i got asked by nokia user, how well one sites video review works, he thinked they dont work, so he tryed to be clever nokia fan, but they worked flawlessly without flash, surprise.
and this flash thing isn't only for nokia, i think for now it's all phones problem, phones performance is just not that level know and there's much speedier devices on market and even they cant run flash, some stuffs works better than other.
In 5 days or less i will post on this page the comparison a match between Iphone and Nokia N8 keep in touch guys, video recording, Touch Response,Zoom in Video, GPS, UI Experience, Laggy Games, etc.... I have the N8 but the comments and comments about the best Cellphone keep me trying to know wich phone is better, and my frien have the Iphone 4 "i never used any iphone" so keep in touch guys!!!!
I have my N8, the silver one.. dont have problem with it.. btw i am fom philippines
this is a nokia hater mind.....
i hate n8 but i like to come to nokia forum....... bcos.....
bcos is too popular...
bcos is nokia is good..
bcos regret buying iphone
bcos andriod is worst
bcos i do like nokia but dont know to say it out...
bcos everyone is buying nokia
nokia phillippines and other mobile dealers n8 stop selling in the market, theres some signal problem, and camera problem not work properly or totally dead, n8 will start available next year february2011, we apologize with some complaint regarding to camera and signal problem. im die hard of nokia, i will wait it nextyear february2011.
Would have thought a good comparison would be with the HTC Desire and having just replaced a faulty Desire with the N8 I would have to say from a usability point of view the Desire is far and away better. The os on the nokia leves much to be desired (excuse the pun).
Cant knock the camera and build quality but it cost me an additional $181 to go to what in my opinion is an inferior phone. Silly me....
At least, I'm so lucky to stay focus on N8 and take it. I wonder if I were listened to what those haters said and picked one from the others, now I'll become desperate and drowning in my regrets but luckily I'm not. Go for N8 and you'll find about what a great cellphone should be.
P.S.: I am an ordinary man, not a Nokia employee.
I come here for the truth, not for some bucks
that some wrong peoples at the wrong place have
new web browser, 19 Nov 2010nokia working on new advanced web browser and there is vedeo 4 that on youtube. Here is is, its running on the c7 but you get the idea
I'm glad I have bought N8, it's pretty awesome, all in one nice touch dream machine. For all those who said negatively about N8, I thought they had never ever gave N8 a try in their real life, maybe they just hold N8 inside their own imaginations or hallucinations. When someone hates something, their hatred shall grown faster and bigger since they can't stand to face the truth knowing the one they hate is being better and better.
Nokia knows what we're looking for, Nokia is really something.

Also flash 10.1 is coming soon to symbian^3. How the hell can the N8 be labeled 'bulky'? This phone is quite slim for a 12 mp phone (just take a look a satio 0_0). Right now, symbian is the best OS for the n8, but dont worry, nokia will be releasing the n9 next year and that will come with meego os.
[deleted post]N8 is NOT a top end smartphone, only 360 x 640 pixels and only 256MB RAM and only 680 MHz processor and only 1200 mAh battery and only FlashLite not full Adobe Flash 10.1 and only Symbian because MeeGo is not ready yet...
Galaxy S and Desire and IPhone4 and X10 and... are all very much better than N8, but N8 is not even playing in the same high "division" but in the division below the top end smartphones.
N8 is a cheap phone with an absurd and bulky but "good" camera for the massmarket.
If MeeGo was ready then Nokia would never have used Symbian with its 360x640... limitations in N8. If Nokia start using Android, or MeeGo, only then can they make a comeback to the highest division for the top end smartphones.
Only die-hard Nokia-fanatics and Symbian-freaks can love N8. The "Nokia"-brand on the phone blindfolds the fans even more than the Apple-logo does for IPhone-fans.
Nokia employees are paid to praise N8 all over Internet.
