'Apple's A4 chip is the best CPU' MacRumors revi... moreAre you sure that your IPhone4 is using the full capacity of the 1GHz processor. I can tell you No, as you can see in its poor multitasking capability compared to the beast N8's Multitasking. Try to "jailbreak" your iphone and you will see for yourself what I was talking (if you know how).
No signal loss using a bumper case that cost you an additional $20+. What a blind Job's follower. Job's told all of the fanboys "it's your fault why Iphone4 is lossing signal 'cause you are holding it wrong" and said "okay give me $20 and I will give you the solution." The fanboys in chorus answers "amen, Job's is right".
N8 is a real smartphone for smart people not a kid's toy like yours.

But try it yourself in the stores maybe you feel it differently.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2010Gud job nokia, but cant compare vid iphone, galaxy and waveN8 was already tested and compared by a lot of mobile phone reviewers from different websites. Almost all of them are saying that N8 was on top compared to any other smartphone in terms of camera and video. They are unanimous in saying that N8 gives a more sharper, crispier and realistic image/videos quality compared to others phones even some digicams.
If you don't believe this, try to connect N8 and any other phone to a bigger LCD TV and see the movies and pictures there.
One thing I can say is that my N82 camera is better than my N8 when capturing photos using the same 5mp resolution (N82 have a larger flash)), but when I use the full power of N8 it blows my N82 away. I am still keeping my N82 cause I type sms faster using keypad..hahahahaha!
I own E72 and looking to buy N8. E72 is great phone, but I miss many calls on it because vibration strength is weak. I like to keep my mobile in vibration mode all the time. Pls Nokia n8 owners let me know how is vibration strength on N8?
Abhinav, 15 Nov 2010N8 does not have AMOLED capacitive touch. AMOLED is missing in N8.N8 has an LCD gorilla glass capacitive amoled touch screen. Gorilla glass is scratch proof and the amoled screen is very much legible under sunlight. It has smart sensor which automatically adjust the brightness and contrast depending on the environment.
i think the reasons for Apple ’s failure with the iPhone4 are complex and unseparable from the
company ’s success among consumers. They prioritized looks (which made them popular) and
as a result had to compromise function. The
antenna design allows for a slimmer device,
however exposing it to the bare touch makes
reception a lot more vulnerable to interference
during normal use than for any other phone. Most of Apple ’s customers value their philosophy (form before function) and therefore will be
content with a cosmetic solution such as
changing the signal bar algorithm. Apple rely on
their fans ’ shallowness, and thus react as they did — which is disappointing to anyone capable of critical thinking.
The opposite to denial and cosmetic solutions — to take measures and fix the technical issue — would have to start with admitting that they
made a mistake. For a company that heavily relies
on a religious fan base, that would be a very hard
step which they chose not to take.
So, to answer briefly, they screwed up in all ways
possible, but they stayed true to themselves … and to their profits.
Abhinav, 15 Nov 2010N8 does not have AMOLED capacitive touch. AMOLED is missing in N8.N8 DOES have AMOLED and is very much sunlight legible (even if it is put into the battery saving mode) which I forgot to mention earlier.

I'm using the Nokia N8 for a few days (11 November, 2010) now. I've gone through it thoroughly and am very much satisfied with the phone.
I can say a few things about it:
1. Very good battery life: after heavy usage - staying connected to the net the whole day, using camera with flash, phone calls (some of them were over 15 minutes), net browsing, using facebook, downloading softwares etc, still stood a whole day.
2.Superb camera: 12MP is awesome. I took a lot of pictures in different conditions, all came out great. The night mode is also great. Night video is also great, but lacks on video light if you intend to shoot on total dark situation.
3.Music player is good: I love listening to music. My personal experience is that you can't create a new equaliser (though I don't use my own), sound quality very good on loudspeaker, headphone sound is also good, but I'm personally using the N85's controller along with N73's headphone. That combination is AWESOME (to me).
4.Connectivity is one of the best.
5.Organiser ir good (but I miss the converter, couldn't find it in the OVI.
6.Panaroma camera (downloaded) works fine.
7.Swype (downloaded) also works fine. Be careful, download only the swype for N8.
8.Mail works very good.
9.I love the potrait AlphaNumeric keyboard. If Nokia changes the keyboard layout on their next update, I'll be sad. Even if they want to give us a potrait QWERTY, there should be an option to choose between the QWERTY & AlphaNumeric.
1.RAM: RAM should be higher. I know that Symbian works with lesser RAM, but in my case (I started Music Player, My four mail boxes, OVI Download and Daily Star (newspaper widget, which is RAM hungry) - and the phone stopped responding for a few minutes, then restarted itself.
2.If I put my phone into power saving mode, the phone doesn't vibrate when I recieve a call/sms/mms etc.
3.If I want to see the full call log, I can't go down due to continuous refreshing (maybe, I don't know, because I was connected to the net at that time - my widgets stays always online.
Finally, I can conclude by saying, this phone is not as fast as Bada or Android or IOS, but is good enough fast for a human to use it. I'm not a computer with fast hands, I can live with the slow UI. I've transferred the camera pictures to my PC & guess what, there were NO NOISE (even of the ones I took at night). I can do a lot of things with my N8 that any Android/Bada/IOS user can't. For example, I can change my icons anytime I want (by installing a new theme), or making the phone an eye-candy (by installing SPB Shell). But I like the phone, it is very simple & user friendly. I don't like to go through the flat menu. I keep all my menu in my view. So having FOLDER option is good for me. I know where I put what and I can find it there, no need to search.
I started to love Symbian after using 6600 and still am in love with it. I love connecting my phone to HDTV & also connect a flash drive/another nokia phone to my N8.
So, in a nutshell, I am totally satisfied. Those who have this phone and are confused, please, be generous, have patience. This phone is for those who have patience. If you wanna keep all the programs running on the backgroud (who the hell does that anyway? if someone does, well, he's...), then it is not for you. But if you have the habit of closing programs after using it, I'll suggest you to go after it - it worth every penny you spend. Thank you nokia, but next time, make the RAM higher.
if you have any queries about N8, feel free to mail me at email@example.com
