Even in Finland, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for orders. Next availability is early December.

Malaysia Zitron has stop supplying to dealers for almost 3 weeks already and i'm actually one of the dealer. Heard service centre said its due to too much faulty n8 return and nokia is working on it... Sigh But anyway, its a great phone for current technology.

Otherwise, it is a feature to save battery life by default.

But you can however decrease the sensitivity of the light sensor. Go to settings, go to display settings and select light sensor. Or do the low tech way, cover the light sensor with ur palm, lol. Anyways hope this helps :)

My N8 does not lag or hangs, the touch is so smooth and the phone reactions are just superb.
You know what the problem is many providers put there own custom software on it.
For example my previous phone was the SE Satio, from the start it was laggy, because my provider changed the software with a custom software with Vodafone crap on it.
What i did i debranded my Satio and from there on i could update to newer firmware and my phone was faster.
So don flame Nokia about this it might also have something to do with the custom firmware from your provider.
Think about that and the choice is your if you want or not want to buy it.

I'm not liking it, I want full brightness all the time,no matter how much battery it drains.... Plz let me know if it is possible.... Except this everything is mindblowing.... :)

No matter what the whole world says... This phone is mindblowing,stunning... I am using this so I know the truth,no lag,no hang so far...touch is awesome,even I didn't except this much sensitive touch from it,but it's really nice.... One thing I am not liking is that screen brightness automatically adjusts with surroundings light.... How can I stop this change?? Any other N8 user plzz reply......
